  1. the cavies dont give you any "wow" moments? hmm... what the #### does it take to give you a "wow" moment? i'd sure hate to be your wife, #### dude! cavies always have several wow moments in their shows.
  2. ok, enough of the arguing! they are all winners because of what they have put themselves through this season, whether they have a gold medal to show for it or not. i just want to add my sincerest thank you to all members of all the corps in all divisions this year. it was surely a year that will remain in my mind for a long long time. congrats to the cavies on number 7 and special congrats to phantom on such a terrific year. already can't wait for 2007 and pasadena baby!
  3. i am dissapointed by dci. <**> i just don't like the idea of world championships not moving around from year to year. to me, boa grand nationals is monotonous always being held in the same place and dci would be just the same. it isn't fair for corps from california or florida or even new england to have to year after year after year travel the most. meanwhile, dci sets up shop in one location just so it is easier for them to pull the event off. i thought the hold point of a governing body was to help make it easier for the member corps. this doesn't seem to make it any easier for the seattle cascades or the santa clara vanguard to get to world championships. what, with the way gas and other commodities have skyrocketed in the past four years. i think dci is making a big mistake. oh, and another thing! could dci have picked a more BORING city in the country? Indianapolis, although immaculately clean, is the most funless city i have ever been to.
  4. i enjoyed it! as i normally do your "he said/she said" reviews" Spanks you very much!
  5. i didn't hear the vanguard yell in atlanta and on the apd from san antonio. can anyone explain where it is to me? thanx!
  6. not trying to rag on bk, but i just dont see why they are beating crown. crown is SOOO much better in my opinion then BK. quite honestly, i felt bk should have been 10th in atlanta and nowhere near crown or scv. but oh well, time will tell. i have a feeling that crown is not quite done and will end up back on top of bk.
  7. here, here! MAJOR props to DCI/the ga dome staff/fans in section 324 for handling the whole event so well. but hey, what do we expect from drum corp fans?!?!? they are the best fans and people in the world!
  8. kudos to you! good review! i agree with most of what you said, except that i didn't think blue devils were boring. i think they are the cleanest corps across the board and that is why they are sooo close to cavies at this point. i can see phantom passing bd when they are cleaner and see cadets passing bluecoats. i just couldn't get into the bluecoats for some reason. maybe i need another viewing. i also think crown was amazing! although scv was really really really good too, i dont know that they will pass crown up in madison.
  9. its here ladies and gents! i am beyond excited and will be there live in the flesh to see the battle go down. and since cookville was rained out, its gonna hit the fan tonight! and the braves had better win today, because they need W's now more than ever. peace out
  10. count me in representin in section 223! jocks and jills is going to be packed it sounds like. but there are lots of places to eat at cnn. also centennial olympic park is right there as well celebrating the 10th anniversary of the olympic games. woop woop!
  11. the cadets still are the cadets, regardless of the show package their designers have put together for them. they are still among the best performers in dci. kudos to them! although a corp is never out of the battle for the title, i happen to think the cadets are virtually out of the running this year and will not win. frankly, i thought the whole idea of them being "out there" and "weird" just to be "out there" and "weird" started last season. this show, like its prequel is not typical, obviously, but i feel is way too off the map to be a championship calibre show idea. bring back the simple show ideas to go with new and challenging drill and that in your face sound they still have.
  12. yeah, i stopped reading this review when you said "I'm only reviewing the top six corps because honestly, that's all I can really remember, and all I really care about" HOW RUDE?!?!? There are some VERY good corps who didnt make the top 6 you know. And also the fact that you had the crappiest seats and don't know much about percussion or color guard didn't make me want to read any of your review either, because honestly you sound like you don't have a clue about drum corps period!
