  1. Phantom - 13019 Cavaliers - 12641 SCV - 11158 Cadets - 9272 Madison - 7535 Star - 5340 BD - 4917 Bridgemen - 2411 Crown - 2009 27th Lancers - 1973 Glassmen - 1469 Next, I took the totals and divided them by the number of shows the fans had to choose from. I'm not sure what this actually tells us, but here it is... SCV - 2790 Star - 2670 Phantom - 2604 Cavaliers - 2528 Madison - 2512 BD - 2459 Single Show Corps - 1966 Cadets - 1854
  2. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this on here yet. Here is a link to a new drum corps page. It's kinda like MySpace... http://www.idrumcorps.com/
  3. Isn't this supposed to be the year for Southwind's new uniforms?
  4. What if Southwind had made finals in 2000 instead of the Bluecoats? and What if Pat Seidling didn't leave Southwind for Phantom Regiment?
  5. I think Crossmen, Glassmen and Madison Scouts will have a better year than last year.... and possibly Boston. I also expect Academy and Troopers to do well.

  8. I say yes when they let woodwinds in. That way it really will be high school band.
  9. I agree with this statement. Why is it when it comes to amps everyone always picks on The Cadets? To me, Crossmen last year had a worse use of amped voice than The Cadets did. They basically explained their whole show to you with a microphone as if you couldn't figure it out for yourself. But nobody picks on them. With the Blue Devils last year, using it to say movie quotes was completely pointless, in my opinion. Yeah, it's another Godfather reference. But we already know you are doing a Godfather show because of the title and the theme that you play 1,000 times. I don't think we need anymore references. I'm sure if The Cavaliers or Phantom Regiment used it in a similar fashion The Cadets did, most of you would be praising them. But because it's The Cadets, it automatically sucks. I say... if you are going to bash something, bash it equally.
  10. this wouldn't be the first time a corps used a song that had been used by a high school band. come on guys... do you really have to start this?
  11. I listen to The Cadets at least 5 times a day. When I feel like something different I occasionally change it to BD or Phantom.
  12. How come The Cadets aren't listed? ^0^ **DISCLAIMER** I did enjoy The Cadets' show this year. It was one of my favorites. But I don't think they deserved to win. I just thought the trolls looked hungry. **END DISCLAIMER** :P
  13. 1996 Madison Scouts 1991 Star of Indiana (near the end of the opener)
  14. We were marching a 4th of July parade. The drumline was playing their cadence as we approached this old woman. As I marched by her she yelled, "play some Godd&%# music!"
  15. Imagine you have a friend who has no idea what Drum Corps is. You get to describe it to them by showing them a video of ONE show. Which would you choose and why? I think I would pick 2000 Cadets. It has great, fast moving drill and it's not bad to listen to :)
  16. ok... I'm going to go out on a limb too... the entire 2006 Cadets performance...
  17. I was bored the other day so I tried an experiment. Everytime I listen to 2006 Cavaliers I can't help but think I have heard some of those musical themes in previous Cavalier shows. I have also heard other people mention that on this board. So I took some of my recordings and cut parts out from this years show and previous shows. Some themes, when played back to back, sound like they could be from the same show. Next I decided to put these themes on top of each other just to see what it sounded like. I expected to hear a jumbled mess but instead.... I couldn't even tell that two different shows were playing. Interesting. I don't know how to put audio files on here. If you would like to hear these files, I'm open to suggestions on how to put them on here.
