Well my friends can't go with me to finals so I have two extra tickets. They are valued as Super. GREAT!!!! I saw the show at Giant's stadium and I thought it should have been done that way. Glad they changed it. Now I can't wait to see it.

Lack of respect? Gino Cipriani, The Cadets' current brass caption head, has been in the activity for a VERY long time. He has taught the Blue Devils and The Cadets, and has several books out teaching brass technique. If someone has more respect for brass technique, it is he who possesses it. For you to say The Cadets have no respect for brass playing is something that holds no weight. So who are you to say they have no respect for the art of brass playing? Who made you judge, jury and executioner? How about YOU try respecting all corps and give credit some. Cavaliers are one extremely amazing corps, but they are not ALWAYS the best at everything.

I think I would absolutely lose it if either of them didn't make finals. You can't have DCI World Championships without BD or SCV. It's like having lucky charms without milk (yeah I am hungry). :)

OH I get it. You marched there. Well listen, I absolutely love almost everything the Cavies have brought to the field in the past six years but honestly, BD is a lot better as of now. There's still time though. By the way, I think Cadets WOULD stand a chance...but this thread is about BD so let's keep it that way.

Probably because they are just that good? And I wouldn't call BD's show boring at all (or Cadets, for that matter). And I like the Cavies' show this year but I don't think they should be placing first at all.

Drum corps should be retired. For the love of GOD, it's been done already. We're tired of drum corps now. Please come up with something new. Geez!!!!

Ditto. So far this year has been very competitive with the fluctuations in corps' placements, but if it can be that way up to Finals night, this will be a year for the recordbooks in my opinion.

That Cavies' show was EXCELLENT!!!! But BD definitely deserved to win that year. The show was technically better (from what I observed).

Actually you could say the Walt Disney music and the "theme" of the show tied together. I love shows with a theme. To me it adds to the entertainment value of the show. For instance, BD 1996 with the crime, or Cadets 1996 with the tribute to the American West. Shows like that leave me going back to watch for years and years.

He must not have visited any Cadets threads. He'll see MORE negative folks there.... Now back to the topic.... BD 1996 definitely was my favorite. For some reason the music gave me nightmares. I didn't vote though because I have not seen bluecoats show yet.

Maybe we should have all the top scoring teams in the NFL play in the super bowl. Just joking... :) But I think it's the motivation factor in it. Everyone wants to be the top 12, but it takes a lot of work to get there...not to mention making the DVD at the end of the season....

Wow, they all have some pretty amazing drill. That's a cool video. One of our bus drivers in 2000 was able to make a video like that for us when we had a show there. The video makes them all look like ants.

Crown is truly amazing this year. I get giddy when I hear their show. I am so happy for them this year.
