A big reason why we went from 10th to 7th from 05 to 06 was member retention. -

That Title is a wee bit hyperbolic. Makes it sound like they blew up the building. Let's hope insurance covers everything. -

When are we going to hear a Bon Iver ballad?
Minimaster replied to weirdscience's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
A little Beth/Rest would be a change of pace, maybe shortened version for a down ending. Holocene opening with the pit with the acoustic guitar part. Maybe. -
So you are totally cool with, from 3:45 on the atlanta feed to 7:30, BD's show being an extended perc/guard feature with no simultaneous marching and playing done by the Brass? No way that get's top visual scores in rep.
-
Yeah, when BD stands still the entire time they play Say a Little Prayer IS a lot harder than it looks...

I'm tired of the Blue Devils hating...

Hey guys, I thought that BD's show had an interesting low amount of full ensemble brass playing while moving(A building block of the activity). Turns out BD has around 4 minutes of Full Ensemble Brass playing while on the move. A good portion of that being small step sizes or half time. I understand they are clean and move wonderfully, but I believe that endurance and simultaneous demand should be taken in to consideration when judging the design and the performers on the field. I personally don't see it with BD enough. I've seen BD have a highly demanding show, this is not 99,00,01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08 demand. To me, it feels like that they wrote a 1 page essay that required 5 pages. It's like watching Michael Jordan play HORSE, everything's there, but you know there could be so much more. -
That caption is divided in half for the final score, so no.
-
Well, they got 2nd in Vis. Perf., so he must be doing his job well.

What I can't stand...

It's a competition...Art, but also a competition. It's also a live event in a football stadium. You have live announcers over the PA at events held at football stadiums. Live events need live announcers because things happen. Is that hard to understand? And last time a checked, I can't get a Frito Pie at the Ballet. It's Different.
