This is my 4th year marching DCA. When I was young I never thought of marching in a Drum Corps. We had bad word coming here marching band and the only exposure we saw was a show in Minneapolis, the State VFW Championship I believe. So our director never told us about drum corps. One of the drum line instructors marched Troopers. But in our area no one really moved off in that direction. DCA is a great way to march. My daughter and I have been together for all four years and there is a special bond with the corps. At this point in my life I wish I would have done junior corps. But DCA is a great alternative.

Cybersnyder, Go out an give it a try. I'm in my 3rd year marching with Brass. I was a rookie at 48 and had not picked up an instrument in 31 years. The only thing I regret is not doing this 10-20-30 years ago. I had never marched in a corps either. In just a practice I was made to feel like family. Practice, get in shape. Just do it!!!!!!!

Best bet has Troopers making finals. Crown will finish around 3rd or 4th, they are making the run at the big dogs but just don't have enough yet. BD or HNC will win it all, with my money on BD.

One week to go. Can't wait to see Phantom (2 days), Men of Madison (3 days), Blue Stars (3 days) and Cavies (2 days). Should be able to catch all of their shows at least once after we are done.
