And we all remember what happened following 2011. Hopefully they will learn from this season so there is no repeat and spillover into next year resulting in a 13th or lower place finish. There is a lot to critique about the Blue Stars, this year, and I'll save my constructive criticism until after finals.

Now the question becomes, how close is the 12th place corps going to be to the Blue Stars come finals night?

From what I've read, the members of the Blue Stars are having fun and enjoying themselves; so that is the most important thing. It will be interesting to see what happens when the season is done during pink slip and resignation week.

We will find out, tonight, how much "juice" and "buzz" the Blue Stars have left with their show. They are in a pretty favorable spot, at this show, to at least hang on to 9th place for a while. In the end all, they will probably end up in 9th, 10th, or 11th.

C'mon, now. Things might be down and out for the Madison Scouts; but Pioneer was about as rock bottom organizationally (in all areas, on and off the field) as you could get.

You could very well be correct. I just remember some years it would hit before San Antonio. July is the typically the month for it to strike. Tour crud is like a wapatoolie hangover. 🤮

The annual tour plague is hitting corps later than usual. Here's hoping it runs its course quickly and all the corps are stomach bug free very soon.

Get some cans of Lysol and spray the inside of those busses. Stomach bugs are like hangovers; they knock you on your a*s, drain your energy, drain your insides, you smell like a cesspool, and within a day you start to feel better.

This. The positives are that the Blue Stars are still going to be comfortably in finals and they have a possibility of moving up to 8th. In addition, this show isn't terrible despite its flaws. It has it moments. I think a lot of us who want the Blue Stars to succeed in the ranks are just disappointed and frustrated with the way things are turning out after last year. The show design problems from years past have become issues again. The revolving door in the percussion caption hasn't helped any. Moreover, the talent of the corps was definitely overrated, this year. I'll conclude by saying where the Mandarins are finding success, this year, is where the Blue Stars are having their issues.

I think the Blue Stars have 9th place locked up for this season. If anything, they will keep it close with the Cavaliers. However, I could definitely see the Colts besting the Blue Stars in some captions.
