I have to say, I haven't been this excited in a long time! Hopefully a lot of the support network in Montgomery is still in place and can be utilized.

Yeah I was there. Oh Danny Boy was unbelievable! And the amount of sound they produced was off the scale. I've never heard anything like it before or since.

Yeah when they cut to a closeup during the end of the Cadets opener I almost screamed. Had the director even seen any of the programs before that show?

I can tell you I was personally heartbroken to find out they weren't fielding a corp that year. I had been absolutely obsessed with the 93 show especially. I marched in 94 and to find out I wasn't going to get to see them was devastating. I still have fantasies that one day they will return to DCI. Stranger things have happened.

Too many people are too passionate about the activity to stop going to shows and buying merchandise. As irritating as some of this stuff is I have a hard time imagining a scenario in which things got so bad that I wouldn't watch/listen anymore.

Wasn't the recent rule change to allow a sound engineer in the press box meant to address this issue? Perhaps a number of the shows so far didn't have enough room in the press box. I wonder how many corps are utilizing an engineer?

Wow I hated that show.

They did such a good job of hyping the show on their website and Facebook page it had everyone so excited. I absolutely love it! It is definitely an emotionally powerful program. I really hope they can clean up the drill. I would love nothing more than a Phantom/Crown showdown on finals night!

I don't mind a small amount of narration like 07 Crown or 07 Bluecoats. What I absolutely abhor is the way The Cadets were using it for a time. I am sooooo glad they decided to scale back on it the past couple of years.

If it is done tastefully and sparingly then it can really add to the general effect and ambiance of the program. I like what I've heard this year so far.
