Afer all these years that joke is never old. No, not one bit.

No one uses it becase they need it. They use it for the simple thrill of the moment.

I like the Trooper's new uniform as a uniform, and I love the way the guard uniform matches so well, but I can't even begin to express how much I dislike it as the Trooper's uniform, if that makes any sense. If i saw this on another corps or a HS marching band, my first though would be what a snazzy looking uniform they're wearing. But I think it delves away too much from the Troopers look that they've had for so many years. As an alum, it feels me with pride to see the corps resurgence, but the more and more I think about, it's coming at the sacrifice of a lot of tradition. Just an (apparently) old fart's feelings.

How about those '89 Spirit of Atlanta uniforms. Its hard to watch the video cause some of those guys are just sorta flopping all over the place, if you catch my drift.

It's the altitude. Somehow the scores are inversely related to the boiling point of water in accordance with Boyles Gas Law which corresponds to.... ok, I'm just making it up as I go along.

a) the extra blue accents do add a lot, a very nice touch up close. But i wonder how well they'd actually show up from a distance, if at all. b) I showed this to my mom, the first thing out of her mouth was "Star Trek"

My first impression: It makes me think of something you'd put a little boy in when you dress him up for the family portrait. No doubt the long sleeve shirt will make a better impression.

What are you fixing? Extenuating circumstances aside, it is still a valid question.

not here to troll, but I got to wondering last night: Sure there weres only 3 corps in the show and they were all cream of the crop corps, but can anyone think when was the last time the Cavies finished last at any show?

The general consensus seems to be to make the uniform more conducive to hiding errors, but isn't the point to get better? I give them props for not going the easy route. I myself like the look of black shoes on white pants. The Naval Academy drum corps uses both black and white pants, but they always keep the black shoes. I think it looks particularly sharp with the white pants.

While I very much liked the idea of using the old belts as baldrics, I never felt the the end result ever looked well. The weight of the buckle made the strap sag too much and made it look too unkempt.

I hate their new faux drum major. Everyone knows a real Troopers drum major has a mean goatee, if not the full on Chuck Norris beard.

By all mean, please clarify.

They'll just cheat you by stuffing it full of rice and skimping on the good stuff.

My very first through was "why are their flags in different positions?" But I'm sure some of my drumline pals will appreciate the picture more.

I remember in '98, my seat partner and I used to always refer to the Phantom guard as, ehem... corn-fed mid-western gals. That being said, I can't believe no one has mentioned Mr Sparkly Pants from Phantom's 2005 show.
