  1. I've heard In The Presence of Enemies by Dream Theater. The original song has two parts for a total of about 20 minutes though... so it's obviously going to be cut down. It's also a matter of which part they decide to do, because both are quite different. At any rate, they're two of my favorite Dream Theater songs. They made Systematic Chaos worth buying.
  2. I more or less agree, except for the package statement. I think Crown had a full package this year, including visually for the most part... they just didn't execute as well as they needed to in order to win, or to be more visually appealing. The drill design has taken a significant step in the right direction, though. but I do agree... Cavies are just doing something different than what other corps are doing... the CD and DVD examples are spot on.
  3. negativity is one thing. He brings it to a whole new level with each and every post.
  4. for the love of GOD. dude, just stop posting, please. Every single post I see is something like what you just posted - belligerently nonconstructive, negative, and downright stupid. I have been on DCP for 5 and a half years, and every single time I see you post, I cringe. You single handedly represent everything that is wrong with the Drum Corps fan base. Negativity for the sake of negativity, apathy that you blatantly try to spill over into the rest of the posting population, and an attitude that is, for lack of better words, just plain annoying. We get it. WE REALLY, REALLY GET IT. You don't like drum corps anymore. DCP has many faults, but I think one of the best things it has always done, and still continues to do today, is spark intelligent debate about an activity we love. You clearly don't love it, and you don't add anything to debate except why you think drum corps sucks now. Please, to save everyone's time, including your own, just forget this site exists.
  5. never been a fan of Rhapsody in Blue, but they sound pretty good.
  6. SCV 2000. not even close. I'm not gonna be pleased if Phantom 03 wins. lol.
  7. dude, come on. You can't wait for them to announce?
  8. this one is really hard. I chose SCV 03 just over Phantom 04 and SCV 09.
  9. This one is tough. I voted for Blue Stars 09 just over Blue Stars 08, Glassmen 02, and SCV 05.
  10. For what it's worth, women can't join the Special Forces either. That's probably a bigger deal than drum corps. I could be wrong though.
  11. 02 Crossmen, followed by 03 Crossmen and 05 Boston. If Phantom 09 wins, I'll be rather dissappointed.
  12. There isn't a cover band in the world that could effectively cover Dream Theater. I hope Teal Sound pulls it off. I'm not a big Coheed fan, but that's mostly because of the singer, and that probably won't be a problem with the show. Dream Theater is one of my favorite bands ever (points to screen name), so I really hope they do them justice.
