I'm not exactly sure who and what you're speaking of when you say obnoxious behavior. For a moment I thought you might have been speaking about the Crown fan that admitted he had one too many, and then said that he enjoyed being a bit of an instigator. I'm paraphrasing a bit ......... There simply weren't any attacks by a BD honk towards Crown or anyone else.

Why don't you give a shot at judging? If you do, I would take caution in ANY bias that you have for or against certain corps. And you wouldn't get to drink while watching! :P

I have to chime in on this one because I'm proud too! GOOOOO Casie - BD, Zack - Blue Stars, Cary - Boston, Chris and Brendan - SCV, Daniel - Troopers, and Kim - Cadets ...... Can't wait to see you all in Allentown!!

I get what you're saying. I'm pretty certain that BD could do that and execute it flawlessly. I'm also certain that they could perform Crown's or Cadets show note for note and page for page of drill ..... But it wouldn't be "them". Crown and Cadets could do BD's show too, but it wouldn't be "them". And I wouldn't care to see either!! What I CAN see is that BD is now doing what Cadets did many years ago ..... There were many who didn't care for the Cadets esoteric design in the mid 80's. I appreciated it even though I didn't get it. I also appreciated it because it WAS different. I wasn't crazy about a couple of BD shows these last few years, but I really like this one. I wish people could just forget placements and just try to enjoy the show ....... Without saying who their bathroom corps is.

Yes, I can hum melodies from Phantom Regiment, Carolina Crown, Bluecoats, Santa Clara Vanguard, Cadets (who doesn't know "Jingle Bells" anyway?), Cavaliers, Spirit of Atlanta (Luck be a lady tonight!, classic song.), etc, etc, etc as the king would say... I'm sorry ... I was talking to the OP. since you interjected though ..... Can you hum any of the BD show this year?

Actually BD play lots of melodies this year, and if you thought about it you could probably hum some of them. At the same time, can you hum melodies from each of the other corps performances?

So why don't you see which years they won, and see if they have always had fewer shows than everyone else? If that's the case, then you have something to really discuss. I'm betting that you'll find a mix. Based on what I've read here, it looks like they "missed" one show and did a clinic during the other "missed" show. Not really that horrible ...

I marched with Devils and with Spirit. I've instructed corps that didn't make finals. I've taught band for 27 years and don't "teach to win". I just see it differently I guess. By the tone of some posts I thought it was going to be awful, but I just don't see it that way.

I just watched the video, and while it might be construed as cocky, I would hardly call it offensive. I took it as they didn't like "losing" and are going to work hard to be considered the best! Excelling is what the activity is about .... They just do it with MUCH self-assuredness! They're putting it out there .... If they don't win, will you people who dislike them be happy? If so, YOU might be in it for the reason JUST like you accuse them if being.
