  1. Aw man. I know those guys were great. I have the audio clips and stuff but, I never got a chance to see them live.
  2. No problem. I didn't think you were trying to correct me. You just helped back up my point that moving warm ups / pre-shows are nothing new in DCA. I was just a little off on what year Empire created the first ever pre show. Guess I just felt the need to correct my self.
  3. Thanks for posting this. I love following these scores.
  4. Seaside is mostly open park space. Open fields with very few structures or tree's. I doubt there will be a problem. Also, I don't think flooding or mud will be an issue. The storm only lasted 10 minutes or so. Other than that, it has been a very dry summer in CT. so far. Not much rain this year.
  5. I stand corrected. Early 90's. Great show. I was there.
  6. It's all cool. I live close to the show site. Our area was not affected by the storm.
  7. Lets not forget about Empires moving warm up in the late 90's. It's nice to see DCI adopting some DCA ideas these days.
  8. Liz mentioned in another post that live close to bridgeport and my area was un-touched by the storm(not one drop of rain). I would also like to add that I only live 1.5 miles away from the show site. I took a drive past there today and that area is untouched as well. (In other words) The birds are singing, the sun is shining, no loss of power, the statium is still in tact. Me thinks we are good to go for a great Drum corps show. See ya there
  9. I'm kinda thinking that these are both dumb statements.
  10. I have learned over the years to replace the words (sexy/cute) with the word (adoreable)these days when giving a complement. Trust me. It works
  11. I had a great time with Bridgemen alumni in 2007. The funny thing is that they have a few teens marching as well. No matter what, it was fun playing with a bunch of jokers who were within my own age bracket. I would do it again if I had the extra travel money. I miss them alot.
  12. The corps with the best score won lol.
  13. Yep they have changed. In the early 90's when I joined the average member age was was 26 and up with some exceptions. Comming back for the 02 season I was one of the few over the age of 21 in the drumline. I have no idea what kind of rules are in place now since I retired from marching. What I do observe is that the new members are comming younger and and loaded with way more talent these days. It's in the best intrest of dca corps to provide a good, safe and comfortable environment for them. It's all about retaining members. That's were reputatation comes into play. A solid code of conduct/rules =good reputation=more returning members the following year.
  14. Try MalwareBites. It will detect damaging programs the the others can't find.
  15. Our drum caption head had a younger sister in the guard 17 years of age years or so. I totaly understand why he enforced that one particular rule with an iron fist. I have never had a problem with strict rules. They are put in place for a good reason. No mater what, the Hurcs are very protective over the younger people involved in the corps. It's all good in my opinnion.
  16. Great news. I look forward to seeing these corps next week in "Da Port" Man, I am realy pumped for next week : )
  17. My last year with the Hurcs were very differentt from what I saw in the early 90's. The faces have become younger and a strict set of rules came into being as a result. Durring my last year (2002) Members caught serving adult beverages to minors were kicked out of the corps. Not sure if this was just a drumline policy but, Any male member 18+ would be kicked out of the corps for talking the female members under the age of 18. I think it's safe to say that the hurcs are doing the right thing. Strict rules suck but, they are needed to provide a good safe family environment for all who wish to be involved.
  18. I think they are comming to bridgebort next week. I look foward to seeing them.
  19. McAfee is not very good at detecting destructive running programs like malware. This malware stuff can be a lot more damaging then the average virus.
  20. With the US dollar becoming more worthless by the day, the exchange rate between the brittish pound should work in thier favor to help curb cost.
