If this would happen, imo the activity would benefit greatly why does dci not go after stronger corporate sponsarships then just music brands, aerobed, etc. Im sure something could work with larger corporations like wal mart etc. They sell items and endorse it, people get curious, tada fans. As brasso said its not a priority of dci but i think it is achievable

both awesome, but 87 those brass runs just seal the deal, that was awesome. (Disclaimer: saw SCV live and Cadets on DVD a million times) -

adding a year just puts me financially in a place i dont want to be. I have to pay for another year right after i graduate and postpone getting a Band Director job while i age out..... bottom line: add a year, ill march again, but it just seems like too old and not fair to many who wont be aloud to experiance aging out (on a side note, the only reason we dont work as hard as "old" drum corps is cause we have Aerobed, i have a line of family who marched BITD, and they could never do what we do now....but whatever older is better....enjoy being dead before me) -

If your MB competed - why did you join?
baritone530 replied to JimF-LowBari's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Band..we compete locally, we are not corps style or show band, we are just a band. Now I love my band and we do well, very well. Marched corps cause of 1) commitment of every single member 2) the crowd was not a bunch of band parents...simple. -

\\ Sadly, yes...its all about "the look"... not an insult at Phantom or any particular corps, its their corps they can do what they want. one of my close friends got cut from another corps for being to short -

so many people watching that game could have cared less what the band looked like....the masses like good sounding music and if BSU cant march and play then so be it, impress the football game crowd.....And the cowbell girl, she played an instrument in front of tens of thousands of people and felt the rush of performing and cheering from so many people. Sure it was funny when she looked like some kid who got forced into marching band by her parents and was stuck playing the cowbell, but if she has a problem then so be it....if i was blind, that opportunity would have been one of the greatest of my life -

Where Should I Go Now?
baritone530 replied to Aussiehatswithfeathers's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
in all seriousness..stop cheating yourself in confidence, you can definitly march this season on baritone anywhere, its all about attitude and commitment. I am an original baritone player, but am nothing special, but i give my all and have respect throughout both my band and corps. If money is why you cant march this season then so be thats uncontrolable, but dont be scared cause if you fall in love with the activity like many of us have, then you will wish you had this year back. -

1. BDB - a world class cadet corps, cant be caught 2. Revolution - lessons learned from last season, will have a good summer 3. Raiders - good sound last season, will improve and be up there 4. Oregon Crusaders - hopefully a more exciting show to go with the talent 5. VK - closer and closer to classic VK 6. Spartans - Return, work out some kinks, and set on a journey back to the top. 7. Legends - Love this little corps, better show, better talent, better score 8. 7th Reg - Getting better 9. Music City - Good corps will avoid sophmore slump after a better first year then most corps experience 10. Dutch Boy - return to finals 11. Racine Scouts - not much competition and they work their ##### off 12. Colt Cadets - Slip into finals -
Current Member of a DCI corps, will march for a total of 6 years. Currently a High School Junior, marched in band, including DM this year. Will be a Music Ed Major, my passion is teaching, so I wont be dropping the major after a semester
