I'm sorry, but I thought that this was about the use of amplified singing being a major part of the cadets show. Am I wrong? If I am, I apologize. However, I am going to wait to pass judgment until I actually see the Cadets' show. I may not agree with the use of amplification, electronics, and whatnot, but I still respect what those kids are going out and doing all summer. I hope they go out there and put on an entertaining show, and if the singing helps to enhance the show, then that is fine with me.

I would really like to see some corps do Phish. I know that the Govenaires played Julius by Phish in 2007, but there are some really good songs besides Julius that could be done, like Down with Disease, The Moma Dance, Weekapaug Groove and their cover of Caravan. Some of the corps I could see doing Phish would be Coats, Crossmen, Jersey Surf, Scouts or Teal Sound. Perhaps the Cadets if George Hopkins went way out there musically and thematically.

I don't think it is that unlikely. If a corps, just using examples here, like Crossmen or Spirit of Atlanta decided to rebrand themselves a good way to do it might be to "go throwback". I mean, look @ how people reacted when Crossmen's DM wore an old uniform this year.

Very true. On the topic of drummers, some of the ones I know are just jerks. One of them would put bottles of pee in my tuba. Of course, I play in a drum line with him, and our drum instructor says he can get contras and then I can show him up
