Just wondering which corps can be found in the Balitmore area for the Round Robin of July 4 parades . Who's doing what parades?

It should be a good Class A preview ,give an idea where the new guy fits in,and the returning Sunrisers .

Sunrisers Frist Senior corps to use G/F bugles 1968 ,frist female guard 69, ,frist to march mallets 69 ,frist female soloist Carol Austin Fallon , symophonic music debuted 1968 with An American in Paris Followed by ,Procession of the Nobles 1969 The father of percussion -Jerry Shelmer working with John Sasso .

Hurcs made a nice impression at the Salute to Isreal Parade in Manhatten yesterday ,while Bush showed with 7 horns ?I belive Bush will be the 11th place corps this year .

Thanks Bob Gold had a nice show last year ,looking forward to seeing what you got in store this season .

Wildwoods a great parade I remember doing that parade in 1984 with Bills Boys .We had the Nassua American Legion convention parade the night before with the Long Island Express and the North Belmore Flames .We lost one of our memmbers in that parade ,dropped dead from anurisum .Corps didn't want to travel to Wildwood the next day .But im gald we did it took away the sadest and the Elks Lodge we marched for treated the corps so great .The food was endest and so was the beer .So i post this in memory of Edward A.Weeks 17 years to the date .Ed had marched Bridgeport Troopers ,Conn Yankees ,Hurricanes and Sunrisers .

I also hope Carolina Gold is still on ,there listed on the DCA web site and there Home site for 5 contest to be completing .

Well today is D day so who's in what class? any changes from what we already know ?

I for one loved doing parades ,but lest not forget thoses that gave thier lives for OUR FREEDOM to do them .Sure all corps need the money thats a given ,But FREEDOM IS NOT FREE there's always a price to pay for it .So thank a vet the next time you see them ,and enjoy the 4th of July .And i hope all corps have an AMERICA FLAG out in front ,i've see to many that don't .

Hey Tom ,i see Sunrisers listed for one show ?The frist of the season in Wildwood anything to add to that ?

Sunrisers won the American Legion Nationals in 68 in New Orleans ,we where a mixed corps i don't remmber any problems I do know when i was with the Queensmen from Saint Cathrine's we where sched.to go to Miami in the mid 50s and because we where mixed they couldn't assure our safe travel going down there .so the trip was cancelled .

Has anyone hear anything on 6th Street Regiment ? have they had an evaluation . Skyliners had a bad showning at there evaluation the corps is sitting down next week to see where they want to go. I thought Gulf Coast Sound was staying close to home this season and would not be at DCA Any word from the Lake Shoremen ? I for one would love to see all corps there ,have you guys been voting for Southern Cal.Dream ? I have ,maybe if they get the grant they could afford DCA

Hi there ,you guys should check out the Sunrisers Aluim web site ,go into Suns music' throught the years 1966 Rockabye ,1967 Mammy ,followed by Ababamy Bound that was the opener and off the line ,also a great parade number the corps loved playing it and the parade crowds loved it ,and closer of Swanee,Great music for a Southern Corps .

Just wondering when is your evaluation with DCA and are you planing on completing the 2011 season in DCA contest ?

I am so sick of DRUM CORPS calling the Contra base a TUBA and soprono's Trumpets if you want to be considered a BAND join BANDS OF AMERICA where you belong and not in DCA .

Is this a junior corps ? new name to me .But sounds like a great show with thoses numbers you could complete in DCA open class.
