Exactly. There are only a few years in your life that you are able to march. Plus, I know MANY people that got the job because they marched corps. The boss had heard of it (or been in it) and knew the demands, devotion and work ethic.

I love following these threads where there are so many that never marched DCI, but seem to be experts.

Those that didn't get sick in the first batch finally got the bug. :(

During the Olympic opening ceremony introduction, Meredith Viera commented that Rio chose NO technology and NO props intentionally. They want to bring us their HEART and SOUL! Oh, wouldn't it be wonderful if drum and bugle corps followed their lead? I don't care who can afford the best props or the best electronics. I want to see who can MARCH with your own feet and PLAY your own BUGLE well at the same time! As I the only one anymore?

The King horns really help them get back that classic PR sound!

This is awesome! He will join about 7-8 Phantom Regiment alums already there. Someone once told me that PR had the most alums in The Commandment's Own over the years.

I'm with you on this one. I heard someone call it "American Ninja Warriors" recently. If they don't put their all into it going up those ramps, they end up at different levels and it looks like a lame attempt. Not showing us what they can do marching wise in my opinion.

Agreed. Excellent horn book and execution, always the most beautiful guard on the field and percussion is solid. They will need to solidify a drill writer so what happened this year won't happen again, but they always march the heck out of whatever they are given.

Yep. They look like department store mannequins that are naked waiting to be dressed....totally different than museum statues. Weird.
