one factor might be the unusual heat in various places throughout the country this year...might have made some more tired than normal, and thus, more able to get injured... i dunno...definitely NOT a good trend tho...

i'm glad i marched while Div. 2/3 were still relatively big...yeah, "finals" might not have made ANY sense (lol), but it was still fun to have so many corps in the competition... best of luck to all of this year's corps... don't expect much of an audience at semis/finals tho

LMFAO!!!! posts like the last two are why i LOVE coming on here...

although, i should add that i'm generally more on the "old-school" side of the argument

trust me, i don't understand it either... but, if u look around at our country (ESPECIALLY in politics) u have a really similar situation: both sides do nothing but insult and complain bitterly about the other... it's just the American way, apparently

the "lack of respect" is really just opposing factions fighting each other on the internet...

really, the only "old pharts" that aren't respected by members these days are the ones who do nothing but complain about how awful everything is now and how great and PERFECT things were in THEIR day... most drum corps do a GREAT job of respecting their elders, even if the "old pharts" didn't march in that particular corps... obviously, it depends on how much the staff instills this sense of respect into the members, and i, for one, am glad to have been part of a corps that got taught that sense of respect for the past

was SCV missing their 4th bass? cuz almost every clip i've seen of em this year has some interval issue in the bassline, and almost always, he seems to be the cause of it...maybe an injury would explain it... hope he recovers soon!

last year Mystical had a large amount of staff/members from South Texas... Genesis is basically all of those staff/members, along w/ some new faces, as their own corps now

watching Cavies 02 again on youtube right now. DEFINITELY sticking w/ my vote for them. although, their percussion score (and thus, overall score) could have been higher if they went w/ 9 snares instead of 10, imho
