  1. Just like in 2017 with the Spartans, even if the Cascades beat LA Stars in GE and Music overall, Visual will ultimately decide which one gets into Semifinals.
  2. Agreed. Their last two shows that were centered around rap music were so much more fun.
  3. I am not liking that the live tunnel cam on DCI's YouTube has absolutely no sound this year.
  4. SCV design team is live on Facebook right now. Pretty sure this will be able to be replayed once it's done.
  5. Inbhear Mor (the Irish ensemble that performed both nights of the Open Class championships) will also be performing tomorrow in exhibition right at the start of Prelims at 10:00am.
  6. If BAC wins the Zingali and finishes 6th overall, they will tie Phantom 2010 (that year's Sanford winner) as the lowest-placing corps to win a caption award in the modern era. Speaking of BAC's guard, they have consistently beaten BD in CG in virtually every single meeting between the two corps. Should BAC do so once again on Finals night, it will break BD's 11-year streak of winning that caption on that night (even if they did not win the overall caption award).
  7. That's some #### great company right there. 2000 is easily one of BAC's best shows.
  8. Since DCI changed its Prelims/Semifinals format in 2011, Spartans have made all except the very first of the new "Top 25." They also won the former Division II twice (2004 and 2007). Now, they are finally the first Open Class champions to hail from beyond the West Coast, and only the second from outside of California. While I'm not sure of their financial status, or even whether they have the desire to do so, based on the above, I think they are more than deserving of moving up to World Class.
  9. I know they (Scouts 2015) had giant briefcases as the main props. Not sure if they used actual briefcases as well, but they at least had those.
  10. Even if they had not competed on 7/24, that would still be the lowest point gain among the corps shown in the OP.
  11. If the Bluecoats could beat the Cadets at Finals in 2014 after being down to them by 0.8 at Massillon, Crown can certainly beat SCV at Finals this year. Anything is possible.
  12. Pioneer wishes they could have delivered this much Irish-themed swagger.
  13. Visual has long been one of the Cascades' weakest spots in close races. In fact, in 2017, they were the first corps out of Semifinals due to the Spartans being particularly strong in Visual, despite Seattle taking GE and Music. I think Southwind's visual program (and by extension, GE) could be strong enough to overtake them, but we'll see on Thursday.
  14. The Cascades have met their match for the last spot in Semifinals, and their name is Southwind.
