What do you mean by the "normal" music caption? The only other captions within Music are Brass and Percussion.

They analyze how the pieces of the puzzle fit together and they focus on the detailing … how is the music or visual orchestration done, how well is that utilized, what are the developmental phrases, and how is the show composed and constructed."

BD was down to Crown by the exact same margin at 2015 Semis as Bloo was to BD tonight. Anything can happen. And even if Bloo doesn’t take it, they’ll be remembered for how they entertained us unlike anyone else all season long.

And BD will win VP, and Bloo will win GE.

Visual is proving to be BD’s big boon, although shrinking the gap in GE helps as well.

I know, I’m just playing it safe until I know for sure that the scores are legit.

I’m not going to trust that spread just yet until recaps are out, which they are not. Also, Crown’s score was announced in the stadium as 96.025.

Easily one of, if not the strongest Top 6 ever, IMO. All worth coming back to for one reason or another after season’s end.

Honestly... Can’t think of one at all. I think most if not every corps this season has at least one thing that keeps me interested in them this year. If we’re looking at more recent seasons, though, Phantom’s last two shows prior to this one were awful and I would have happily taken a break during either of those shows. Also Cadets 2016 & 2017. And Madison 2018. All of those shows are just not worth coming back to at all today, IMO.

Could go either way tonight. Both BD and Bloo had solid runs, but I feel like they’re saving their absolute best for tomorrow. Then again, I still remember when Bloo took Semifinals in 2016 despite their electronics not working for half the show.

Cascades just announced that they will be holding lots of satellite audition camps in 2020! This is great news for the growth of the organization!

Don't think anyone has mentioned yet that the Spartans having their encore at the end of tonight instead of tomorrow afternoon means that they can pretty much end their season on the same day as all the other OC semifinalists. They no longer have to worry about sticking around another day to perform their whole show for barely anyone in the stands, well over an hour before the Finals competition begins. Honestly, after thinking about it some more, I think DCI should stick to this format of having the OC champion perform for the Semifinals crowd. Sure, performing twice in a day may seem like a lot, but that's exactly what the World Class champion does every single year. Why not for Open Class as well?

There were health and safety-related issues raised after last season that caused the staff and members to jump ship, and despite the corps' best efforts, they announced they would be inactive for at least this season back in January. I hope OC comes back soon, too, but not without some significant changes to their leadership.

And also Oregon Crusaders are inactive this year, which opened up a third Semifinals spot.
