  1. Was that the kick? I believe it was. Great job Phantom. Loud, but pulled up to the sideline twice to be really loud.
  2. We’ll try to find your son to say Hi, if he won’t mind meeting a few old geysers. If we don’t find him we’ll absolutely cheer him on. Then we can meet you next week in Indy.
  3. There already is a cap. It’s 100. Adjust down the for less difficult shows. Maybe you just don’t reach 100! That’s the participation trophy, you get 100 and you get 100 and you get 100. The Oprah point awarding system.
  4. And then everybody gets their participation trophy so they feel good. 100 is the cap. Work numbers up to 100. Years ago in Mass., circuits awarded numbers over 100. Quite silly. It meant your score had no limits. 100 has worked. You don’t always have to “fix” everything.
  5. I am curious about the “retaliation” that is feared by whistleblower alums who’ve been abused or reported abuse. So long as there is factual evidence and incident provability, I would think there is nothing to fear. It may be more of a threat of retaliation, made directly or implied of inferred by offending and “offended” alums, who in reality should be fearful of their own exposure of being an abuser, abetting abusers, being silent about abuse. There is nothing that actually can be done in a retaliatory manner, that would not open up questions of culpability on their part. And that exposure alone is a bit of leverage a wb might have. WB’s shouldn’t fear any other alum. They are an alum like they are and have no power over anyone. They aren’t protecting an org. If they think they are, they have an unbalanced set of life priorities. WB’s unify yourselves and defend and push back on any so called alums who are denying your right to speak, expose and correct behaviors. Abuse problems continue to exist and persist because they are fortunate to be cloaked in anonymity. Exposing offenders, naming names, making it all public, will enable changes. So long as provable facts support everything being brought out, there is no retaliation possible. We applaud all those of you WB’s who are making the waves, exposing the wrongs, being brave. You are not the trouble makers, those that want you silenced are.
  6. A 30 degree temp drop/difference from the ovens of Texas will certainly boost energy.
  7. When something has a history, but its historical value isn’t keeping up with needs to service the corps and customers, it’s time to consider alternatives. Allentown worked years ago before corps had the equipment and programs that require improved logistics. Maybe it simply doesn’t work as well any longer. It is deteriorating, aging. Its infrastructure needs rehabbing. Finals moved from a rotational formula because it works better at LOS (although arguably). Manning Bowl was demo’d. Other stadiums just don’t work and you move on. Maybe it is time to explore other options.
  8. My sincere condolences for you loss and my best wishes for your continued recuperation. Rest well, see you next year.
  9. Didn’t work line that for band camps. BC had to apply for permits for each and every game. Each game, new permit.
  10. But BC still has historically bad neighbors. They don’t even like football games played there.
  11. 22,000 seat stadium. Don’t know what is on “concert” side. Showing my age with that remark.
  12. There are adjacent fields, covered football field sized field house too. No idea about parking or local “amenities” like restaurants and hotels but it would be worth researching. Looks like everything was recently renovated.
  13. That’s where Boston is this week. For 3 days. Looks like a great facility. With adjacent fields and a football field field house. If cost effective, it might be a good option for Allentown.
  14. And Boston. I’m sure you meant to include Boston too.
  15. But it is the explanation from the timing judge. But stick with you and Murray believe.
  16. That is not true. They were too long in getting off the field.
  17. They were last night. Usually corps are warned before they are penalized. They may have been over before but weren’t penalized.
