Wow Phantom! They’ve improved SO much since I saw them at Muncie. I got goosebumps at the end which is something Phantom hasn’t done in years for me! Way to go!

I disagree. I too thought it was a fluke that night. Being there myself, I can easily say PR had a pretty bad run. I personally think crossmen and bluestars should switch places

The only horns that are mic’d are the soloist. They got rid of the giant mics that were amping the whole corps last year. The only other mics are for the front ensemble.

That was fantastic! I am loving this year’s book! And the hornline sounded very strong. I repeat. I am very excited to see where this goes!

I’m not for sure why there are so many negative comments, but after seeing what they have on the field thus far, I couldn’t be more excited to see where the show goes this year. From what I can tell, we are getting a much better visual package from Phantom this year. And I am definitely a fan of the music too. I look forward to seeing them later in the season!

Crown drums are black with grey "gears" located on them as well. Similar to the gears on the front of Helen (stagecoach).

I was sitting in between the 50 and 45 yard line on side one. The only phasing issues that were noticeable were in the opener with the small ensembles and the rewind section, which was a bit off timing wise, but other than that I believe they had a good run.

The last time I saw Crown was during opening night at LOS 6/23. Just got done watching their rehearsal here in dekalb, and all I can say is... WOW. I am thoroughly impressed by how much the show has improved. Brass is absolutely ridiculous, guard is a monster, and percussion was on point. They didn't do a full run, but the sections they were working on were extremely clean. Tonight is going to be a fantastic night. Looks like weather is clearing up for tonight as well.
