BLUE DEVILS 2022 The Return
Terri Schehr replied to theonlyfizzle's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
The diagonal front at the end isn’t a piece of cake. They have to clean them but those pass thrus they do through the tubas aren’t easy either. They’re a mess now but they’ll get there. I’ve found that just because they make it look easy, doesn’t mean it’s easy. -

I’m waiting for the replay so I can’t watch BD yet but someone sent a dress rehearsal video to Jim this morning that has drone shots. Pretty cool. Are they using different brass this year? The mellos have a unique sound. Dare I say closer to a French horn sound than I’ve heard in drum corps in a long time. -
46 days for the competitors in the San Diego show if they make finals. I figured out that it’s 36 days for Troopers if they make finals.

I fell asleep at 10pm. I’ll watch the replay today. This time difference is killing me. I thought it was bad in Chicago… -

That view of the San Gabriel mtns they keep showing was pretty distracting for me. 😂 soooo beautiful. -

I don’t remember there being seat backs when I was there in 2007. -
I have to figure out the app.

Ouch on the gasoline. $4.49 here. $5.42 diesel. -
No argument from me. No one wears more white than me. I have never seen a white V neck tshirt that I won’t buy!

They’re much improved.

Lots of white costumes this year. These are nicer looking than SCV.

That’s a short season. 35 or 36 days, depending on whether they make finals or not. -

I usually go Saturday afternoon. I’m tired from last night though. Maybe I’ll go to 10 am. -
That’s the ferry boat to Key West. I’d be a gazillionaire if I had that boat. 😂

It’s the only game in town so I say yes, it’s worth it. Especially for me because there is no game in Florida.

I enjoyed The Academy, too. -
The norovirus outbreak killed the momentum that had been building something fierce. I felt so bad for them. I also shuddered thinking about the bathroom situation. When I had it, I didn’t know whether to sit on the throne or kneel before it. I wished my own death several times during that 24 hour period. At least, it’s short lived is the only good thing I can say about it.
-
I doubt they’d tell them. 😂
-
Their repertoire leads me to believe I. won’t be led down a tunnel of darkness and despair. Or some kind of Marvel comic book translated to the drum corps field where I have no idea what I’m watching.

I’ve now made Cavaliers my dark horse.
