  1. Bluecoats release reportoire and tease Agape same as Mandarins?! Battle of the ballad
  2. Bluecoats coming out teasing Agape as well?!? Battle of the ballads
  3. Hmmmm I think I’ll donate to Colin McNutts efforts instead: https://gn.gives/
  4. Flomarching with Mandarins just released the artist names of the source material. Along with playing Agape by Nicholas Brittell in the background of the video
  5. Mandarins might take the award for “ballad that makes me cry” this year….
  6. Like I said in an earlier post, reliance vs opportunity. This provides the opportunity to subsidize current in place practices and medical staff.
  7. I think your complaints more come from reliance versus opportunity. Would it be smart to rely on this arrangement? Not at all. But to subsidize established practices and utilize where appropriate and feasible? Great arrangement.
  8. For years people have been saying corps need to get in bed with corporations to stay afloat. So DCI goes and does that, but now we have to be overly picky about what, who, how, when? Without being able to see the agreement we can’t know exactly how much benefit there is for the activity, but if we want this activity to survive, thrive, and provide more safety and this agreement does provide a net benefit, I’m all for it.
  9. I have unconfirmed source the trophy’s were given to the DCI museum.
  10. Agreed. But legality dictates here. The best thing is for when this particular case is all said and done is for DCI to come out and say through all of it they worked on strengthening policies and here’s the rule of law in DCI going forward. Wishful thinking, but that’s the smarter route.
  11. Seeing as they are currently included in the lawsuit, it makes sense to not say anything.
  12. Apologies, there’s been others on the internet stating “oh they’ll be back” even though the statement clearly points out that they can’t come back. Didn’t think people could be as naive.
  13. I don’t see how it stands against DCI period.
  14. Especially when the details of the organizations actual involvement in the assault is questionable. But again, the end result is what they wanted.
  15. I mean according to the lawsuit this would’ve been pre GH I believe. Sure the GH stuff was bad and damaged the corps, but up until this lawsuit the corps was loosely financial stable enough to keep going. At least on a season to season basis.
  16. I’m more mad at this point than anything
  17. Well at least in NJ, they’ve ruled that they are liable for the old organization. I was more referencing the ability for people to sue in PA. It wouldn’t fly like this did in NJ because of their one time retroactive lifting of statutes. PA has upheld the statute of limitations in cases and anyone would have a hard time trying to get around that.
  18. PA’s statute of limitations are pretty strong and have upheld precedent with the state Supreme Court.
  19. Oh there’s no coming back. Even if the case gets dropped, there’s zero money and now zero support.
  20. I’m just not sure of anyone that could create a visual package to go with a modern machine show other than Gaines. I know we’ve been lucky to have Gaines back in the activity the last few years. But dang the man needs to start training some prodigies.
  21. I’ve recently come across this from a newer composer/pianist Rick Chang. I think there’s some cool themes in here that would sound amazing from a corps.
