  1. MAPS- No This rule is just stupid... gives too much leeway for possible freight training at finals week by saving captions until trends are possible.
  2. MAPS- Abstain I like my corps too much to let them go to the wayside. However, I can see where this can stop the monopoly of cirectors in Finals (Especially in D1)
  3. MAPS- No Things are already screwy in this Fantasy league. Leave the shared captions alone.
  4. Fine... you convinced me... You'll have my votes in an hour from now.
  5. Too true... I'm in for BoD if asked/nominated/elected or whatever. In terms of term: I agree with 1 live season and 1 off-season. Responsibilities: I'll leave that for my coleagues to decide. Election: Majority, vote with all active directors I think 2 directors per region would be more worthwhile. This is all in my opinion.
  6. I have not fully read the proposals and in such, will not vote. This has occurred because I have been racking my brain with show ideas for all corps in MAPS. I have complete faith in my fellow director's abilities and will follow any rules stated or re-instated.
  7. That's "Oh Shenandoah". Anyway, all of the DCA corps will play during an open house weekend. Sometimes it will have show music in it, other times it will only be warm-ups. Just go there ready for whatever can happen.
  8. I'm guaranteed to be the best in Maryland... hooray...
  9. As Trace Atkins stated so bluntly: "It ain't for the money, it ain't for the glory. It ain't for the free whiskey... it's all about... the badonkydonk."
  10. *PRESS RELEASE TO ALL DCP-I DIRECTORS AND FANS* The Mid-Atlantic Performance Series have concluded their 2006 "Live" season campaign with dissapointing finishes all around. The Stake Drivers never made it past D2 Preliminaries, Caboose was booted after D3 Quarters and the two flagship corps, the Potomac River Knights and The Engineers, were finished from Finals competition after Division 1 quartfinals. Executive Director Scott Smith gave a press report to me via E-mail from his laptop from PRK's staff bus. "I am deeply saddened with our placements in this year's campaign. I do not blame the kids, nor do I blame the staff. They all did a fantastic job with their repsective shows. I do not know where we will explore next in terms of music. There are still a few more shows I have planned for PRK. However, I think the "anime" shows that PRK have done are becoming too monotonus with the judges, but we may give it another shot before stretching that idea. The Engineers still do not have an identity as of yet, and now I think it will be time to give them their own. Stake Drivers and Caboose, what more can I say about those corps? They both made their respective divisions finals in their first season. They are also looking for an identity, and I will allow them to find their callings. All of the corps are currently en-route to Maryland. I congratulate all of these kids on a job well done. You'll hear from us again, for we will be back in the thick of the Finals race. " This reporter is currently on the Stake Drivers Staff bus and will write back when we are home and the season officially concludes. *THIS CONCLUDES THIS PRESS RELEASE*
  11. I remember that one... he and I were almost asleep when we finally got our waffles. They need to be notified about DCA South shows there and staff accordingly.
  12. WTF is this "Head-On" stuff? The only thing the commercial says is to "Apply Directly to the Forehead"... WHAT THE HECK DOES THE #### DO?!?
  13. My corps has had many changes figured and cleaned. We did enter them in slightly at a time. I think these next few days will prove to be very benefiting to all the MAPS Corps. Peaking at the right time...? Only time will tell...
  14. This is going to be a verrry interesting Snare I&E.... See you in the convention Center... Note to self: this may very well be not good if I have to go on after a man who promises lesbians with his solo... A promise to those... I SHALL NOT PLACE LAST IN I&E THIS YEAR!
  15. Well, this DCA Snare I&E just got a whole lot more interesting....
  16. In all respect to percussion and the need to have a bettery, if you have a pit then just make another place in said pit for a "Battery Only" Staging area. There you can have a guy or 2 playing snares, a tenor station, and a guy playing assorted Bass drums. Only real downside is not marching. However, you get to have buckoo demand and still cover all parts given. Just a suggestion.
  17. From what I can remember, Rockmart is also out of the question for us. We only did our home show and then I&E/Mini-Corps. I know how you feel... We are also a "Mini" Mini-Corps.
  18. Yes. Shenandoah Sound is Mini-Corps this year. I know I stated it somewhere.... but I'm too lazy and tired to find it.
  19. I think I'm in this contest... I throw my gauntlets in challenge to all ye who hears thee.
  20. That ROOOOOD Rowdy from the Price I$ Right! May he also, rest in peace. And for whoever says Pee-Wee Herman... "YOU'RE FIRED FROM THE INTERNET" ($.50 to Studio Tan)
