  5. No...YOU are on the 13th Floor....nobody else is though !!!! Take a look out your door.
  6. Getting too slow in your old age OLD GEEZER !!
  7. I'm with you on this one Cathy. DCI should bring back the regional shows for the smaller corps and let them tour the way that best befits (?) their finances. If they want to go to FINALS WEEK and they can afford let them. Letting the smaller corps do the regional circuts will not only give them a chance to get ready for the next step but give the kids a chance to get the feel of what drum corps is all about. DCI should be paying all the corps to go to shows and not only paying the World Class. DCI should also be helping promote these corps and the shows. Why do only the world class corps get paid for doing the same thing as the OPEN Class corps ? I'm done now !!
  8. Hey Linda, I've got your back.... go ahead !!!
  9. The show will be at the University Stadium (formerly Seagram Stadium) on Seagram Dr. in Waterloo off of Albert Street or off University Ave. I will find out who will be there and get back to you.
  10. This is not a new thing. In 1977 we had four rain outs in three weeks !!
  11. I couldn't get the feel either until they did a close up...then again they didn't do anything for me either. Why don't they make them wear the old guard uni's that actually match the rest of the corps ?
  12. I'll try again later. This didn't make sense to me either.
  13. Sorry Nancy, this Jody didn't march after the '77 season in the K-W Northstars.
  14. OH, dear God say it isn't so !!!! Geno....Phantom won't make finals this year because of the first weekends SCORE !!!! (sarcasm off) Relax folks, I'm sure they will do a little tweeting here and there to make their show just as entertaining as last years. It's only the first week end !!!!
  15. I was hoping they would do anything but WSS !!! I saw the show on Saturday night and well...I'm disappointed they didn't pick different music. I hope you change things so that you don't end up placing like Phantom Regiment and SCV did in 1992 with their anniversary shows. Good luck.
  16. Dean's family are in my thoughts and prayers. RIP DCI PARENT Dean Orwoll
  17. If I see one violin case in any drum corps equipment truck in the future...I'm done with DCI. However, drum corps does exist in the form of DCA !! They would get not only my $$$ but about 98% of the people I have talked to.... the other 2% I found out were people that like that kind of thing !! (No disrespect to the minor leagues of marching music)
  18. This is my list: - G BUGLES - A really loud, blow my face off horn line......therefore G BUGLES !!! - Retreats - two day long prelims...practising the whole time while we wait to see if we made finals. - the show day rehersal and anticipation of the show - the twelve hour rehearsal days (NOTTTTT !!!! ) - my drum corps friends - all girl color guards !!!!
  19. It is with great sorrow that the Nortstar Youth Organization announces the passing of one of its former members. Joanne Poole, who was in the colour guard with the Dutch Boy Cadets and assistant drum major with the Northstars. She passed away in her sleep last night. More information will be posted later to funeral arrangements.
