  1. Am I able to request 2 dbl or queen beds? I've created my pay pal account. If I proceed with my deposit not sure whether beds is an option. Let me know. Thx
  2. Last minuted decision. I have tickets for prelims and finals. Was not sure I was going to go but have decided YES. I usually stay at the Radisson downtown but obviously they are full. A friend of mine is staying across the river this year. Need a room for 2 with 2 queen beds. I have a few other options I'm going to follow through with. However, if anyone knows of or has an extra room downtown please let me know. Thx. Dan Jones Westerville, Ohio

  4. Dirty? Where? Maybe I should check recaps as I heard they were at least 2nd in perc to Bucs. Now that recaps r up I'll check. No offense, but I am not ashamed to say that I'm too 'Old School Drum Corps', not adaptng at all to the direction and changes. I told myself before leaving for Rochester that buying tickets for next year would depend. Now that DCA is kinda following DCI with respect to the theatrics and amplification, I choose to bow out. I don't follow or attend DCI shows because of those very reasons. What will be next? Saxaphones? Clarinets? Flutes? Ahhhh...Speaking of flutes, saw the poster at the stadium of a flute player and the direction WGI MAY or IS going.

  6. Isn't it a shame that a corps like cadets so obviously were penalized for playing a real, no gimmick, no foo foo show. They played a wonderful DRUM CORP show and deserved a much higher score . Shame on the judges. Certainly will not be returning, DCA is not DCI, if I want a broadway production will travel to New York City.
  7. In reference to my reply about the 13" snare cases, my name is John Maynard. I must have been half asleep LOL...E-mail me for details. Thx again. John Maynard maddogmaynard@gmail.com
  8. I have 13" snare cases. Please e-mail me for information. Thx. maddogmaynard@gmail.com
  9. Hi...I've read your post about looking for drums. Have you got what you want/need yet? The reason I'm asking...the HS where I do the marching percussion will have some drums for sale - really reasonable - soon. We cannot donate them. :( We have 5 Yamaha 14" snares w/carriers, 3 sets of Yamaha 8/10/12//13 tenors w/carriers and 5 Yamaha bass drums. I believe we have the carriers for them, too. I would need to check as we have had the drums in storage. The drums are a custom - not Yamaha - color....sort of a light blue pearl. Some of the drums probably need new heads. The drums are older, but may be what you are looking for. And, I think we could make you a pretty good deal. Please let me know if you already have gotten some drums or if you might be interested in these. I look forward to hearing from you. 10. Count the guy's from Columbus, Ohio in. Maynard and Jonesey
  11. I hate to assume but I think it's .org not .net...........
  12. yeah.....Like Allentown 1977 DCA prelims......One drum major trying to duke it out with 5 or 6 guys from another drum corps.......Didn't last last long after a corps director prompted his corps to go help the one man army.......I'll not be the one to mention corps names or the drum major involved..
  13. Gee Chris....Is 60's too Old or too Golden?.......I have a few.....
  14. Take my word for it, BVP knows.........And no, Gary doesn't look at DCP posts. Therefore, it's obvious he doesn't respond either.......................
  15. After looking at DCA's news, I'm surprised that someone hasn't responded with a big 'HURRAY' because if I read it correctly BVP won't be doing the CD's or DVD's in 2010........
  16. My spelling is awful......Sorry for that.......
  17. That's it........There is song called 'The Flower' from Carmen.........Intermezzo is a beautiful ballad and hats off the the way Cabs performed it............Thx my friend......
  18. Most of the song titles I know with the exception of the beautiful slow ballad........Can anyone provide me the title?......A friend of mine keeps referring to it as 'The Flower Song' but I don't see anything by that title listed anywhere in 'Carmen'........Thx....
  19. Thx much........Corresponded briefly with Jeff Moore via e-mail and he provided info I needed........
  20. Can anyone tell me who wrote the drum and frontline ensemble book?......If so you may e-mail me if you are a member or just post it.....I'll check back periodically.......
  21. Interesting night indeed Tom........I remember the trophy being thrown to the ground and remember a corps drumline throwing their sticks in the air and walking off the field.........Was it Hurcs and Sky or vica-versa?........hmmmmmmmmm........
  22. Amen.........You'll probably spawn a lot of criticism from the DCI nuts but I'm in full agreement with you on this...........
  23. 1976 Sunrisers 'Evergreen with closing of Happy Birthday to 200th anniversery of Our Nation' 1965 Royal Airs 'Where Are You' and not that I'm biased LOL but 1972 Pittsburgh Rockets 'The Summer of 42 with Prince Igor reprise' 1973 Pittsburgh Rockets 'Let There Be Peace On Earth with Theme from Patton reprise'
