  1. Nice to see Cascades move up. I really enjoyed them in Atlanta.
  2. Interesting spread... I had Colts above Academy by about a point Edit: sp.
  3. How surprised am I by this response? Absolutely not one iota. In fact, it's what I expected. Pretty typical, actually. :blah: :blah:
  4. Brassop-- Why don't you simply read Hop's response to your original statement directly from his blog here: http://www.yea.org/site/PageServer?pagename=hopblog CONGRATS on making his page!!
  5. Sweet! Watching now... Cavies. Great drill but dirty! What will happen when they clean this monster up?!!
  6. As a proud and out 'mo, I take umbrance with the use of the word GAY in the sentence "Narration is more gay than Christmas at Bloomingdales". It should read "Narration is GAYER than Christmas at Bloomingdales"! Funny stuff. :o
  7. Now wait a second there. By inserting rainbows, you are promoting the left-wing homosexual agenda which is inapprop... Sorry, wrong thread. :P :P
  8. Fran-- Your Florida drum corps family has your family in our prayers and blessings. God bless you.
  9. VERY few bottom line ties in captions from night to night in Allentown. The panel did a pretty good job of ranking the corps in their prospective captions. Thanks to DCI for the new sort feature on the recaps. Makes it pretty easy to read the various caption scores between Saturday and Sunday contests.
  10. Looks like the Blue Knights have the last spot in Murfreesboro.
  11. Devs win GE and Cavies win Visual. 0.5 difference between the top 3 in music. CRAZY!
  12. Go Blooooooo Guard! They were on fire tonight.
  13. I'm very impressed w/ Gmen and hat guard SMOKES!!

  15. Thanks Jordan! A really terrific review. I, too, am looking forward to your review of the Atlanta show. I'll be there!!
  16. BTW Colorguard is judged from the box not the field.
  17. Despite your personal feelings about Mr. Hopkins, there is no question about his service to The Cadets organization and dedication to the hundreds of young adults that have marched during his 25 years with them. Ask the vast majority of those kids their opinion of George Hopkins and I doubt you'll hear the word "moron" associated with his name. In fact, quite the opposite. While your vision of the ideal drum corps show may be diametrically opposite of his, assassinating his character is trite and immature. The only "moronic" thing here is this statement. Nice job. <**> <**> Perhaps you should take your own advice and stop reading anything associated with his blog. Eh? Thank you Mr. Hopkins for your blood, sweat and tears over the past two and a half DECADES.
  18. WOW! I just made it a tie game again. My nod went to Cadets based on... well, not much really except seeing the Encorps! video. I really like this show and wish them the best, as I do Regiment and all the other corps. I've not seen any of PR's production this year but know how tough they are. It's an interesting season, indeed!
  19. Also, most of the kids marching guard were absent ALL winter due to winter guard. Most either march guard or teach at a HS somewhere. Instruction staff-- same thing. Most of the folks have winter programs just wrapping up; WGI final aren't until mid April. It takes a few weeks to finalize guard lines and members. Then the mad rush by all of the corps to measure kids and send those to manufacturers who get spanked with hundreds of uniforms to make at the same time. And stuff happens-- believe me, I've been on the receiving end of the "It's going to be three more weeks" phone call. You just have to suck it up because there's not a darn thing you can do.
  20. Fifer-- Thanks for taking the time to break down the Cadets 2007 drill. It's fast, it's furious and shows how talented this group of kids really is. Personally, I love the drill after viewing it several times on Encorps. My initial reaction wasn't so great seeing it live on the Annapolis feed but I always approach these things with an open mind and think the Cadets product is almost fantastic (almost meaning it's June and they have HUGE potential!) :P I appreciate your perspective on the show and the historical references are great. As I watched, I kept thinking "What year did they do that?" Thanks for clue-ing me in. Now I have an excuse to go back and watch all of these great shows. Good luck to the Cadets and all the corps this year as it looks like another nail-biter yet again. :sshh: I can't wait for Atlanta!! b**bs
  21. Recaps up! Bluecoats win drums, overall music and overall GE Cadets all other captions Madison 3rd in both GE, 4th overall visual and music, 5th drums
  22. I'd say the Bluecoats took it on the chin for being seriously incomplete in the guard caption. From what I could see on the webcast, they have several minutes of show left to complete. However, the content they do have contains many layers of responsibility and those kids look trained. Those numbers should improve as the season progresses cause they have a bunch of talent out there.
  23. The APD's are for sale already? Where are they located on the website? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find them. DCI.org is getting very frustrating. I cannot seem to find anything and continuously rerouted to the subscription page even though I am logged in as a platinum member. AAARRRGGGHH!! Missed Crown last night due to the webcast snafu. Can't wait to hear them!!
