  1. Thank you South Shore Drill Team for all the "oohs and aahs" of days gone past and kudos and congrats for your championship of 2011. Enjoy the fruits of hard work.
  2. Center Grove 1984 started the Scholastic World off to prominence and the competitive endeavor it is today.
  3. Congrats to Star Mini Corps which coupled with the LOS performance by Star Alumni has made for a very memorable year.
  4. The performance of Star of Indiana Alumni Corps was truely AWESOME and the memories of that performance will live in the hearts of all those on the field forever. Plan9 your comments are really what it's all about...thanks so much.
  5. Saw the run throughs in Hummel park in Plainfield, Indiana last evening and "Wish Upon A Star" again brought misty eyes...and, by the way, they blew me almost out of the park. Should be most enjoyable to attend DCI in LOS tonight and experience the "Wall of Sound". Go Star!
  6. Thank you Josh and Darrick for your many years at Center Grove and best wishes in your future endeavors. Also, a warm welcome to Mr. Chumley.
  7. Would love to see both if possible. MEPA shows are always great.
  8. Kudos to Star United on #4 and setting new standards.
  9. I would also join that Star of Indiana appreciation group, gladly so!
  10. For me, a Star of Indiana fan and admittedly biased, the endings of the 1990 and 1993 are tied for my all time favorites.
  11. Adagietto: between largo and andante but slightly faster than adagio. Often difficult to perform to this tempo as it's very demanding of the talent available.
  12. Prejudging has occurred before in several instances....it's no suprise!
  13. Also, don't forget the sink the "Slickers" threw in at the end. Robin Shaw's Center Grove Marching Band production of the opera "Turando" is a classic in creative writing, staging, and performance and is still talked about today. Go Robin shaw for HOF membership as your entry is way past due.
  14. I also would like to see Robin Shaw's name added to this list because of his many accomplishments in the realm of color guard. He is truely a master in design and in the use of color in this artform of color guard. He was also very instrumental in the Center Grove band progragm for many years as well as other Indiana schools. Mr. Shaw's productions with the "City Slickers" were milestones in color guard...audience pleasing and most memorable shows.
  15. Center Grove has been blessed with top talent since the days when Tom Dirks was in charge of the program. The "Grove" recently lost a top talent in the recent passing of Steve Manning. The Manning's, Arthella and Steve, made the "Grove" a smoothly running organization and Steve Manning was a true artist in uniform and flag design. He will be sorely missed by all "Grove" alumni and fans.
  16. Truely a wonderful opprotunity for both groups and Winter Guard International is really International in scope. Best wishes to both Aimachi and Pride.
