GGarrett
I think it's pretty darned good. My favorite parts are:The Intro.... Kashmir totally rocks musically... Roxanne totally rocks musically... The weak parts are/were: Transition from Roxanne to the Outro... The Ballad.... It kind of lingers for me.... The stuff that's good is really good music, IMHO. The stuff that isn't good, well it's rather blah, but I could say that about other corps that are scoring better than them. Musically, I don't hear a bad corps. Musically, I don't hear a 20th place corps.... Oh and when they're standing still.... WOW, they have a top 12 sound! The potential is there to climb up the ladder.... Is there enough time to catch up? Can the staff give the "kids" a vehicle to achieve? didn't "the Cranberries" do that song originally? (sorry...couldn't resist.) It's been a good week and a half now since I saw them, and it was the same transition and ballad issues for me. I would have preferred a stronger build with a blazing frenetic wind up to the exit off the other side of the field at the end of the show. We'll see what they do next! Michael Boo
he's so humbled he answered twice. Geez, I didn't have that up two minutes and you jumped on it. When I posted the first time, I was told I needed to register because I didn't have authorization to post in the forum, which was kind of weird. So I tried again and then I had two posts. Someone in the spirit world is having fun.
Michael Boo
wow Michael... Did you sit in on a couple of Scott Stewart "talks" to us after tough shows a few times? Because I would SWEAR.... No, but every once in awhile I start channeling him, but usually only when I'm clothes shopping...and then I wonder when I get home how I ended up with all those Hawaiian shirts. Oh, and they're really loud too... I probably won't get to see them again, but I wish them well.
