DCA CURRENT STANDINGS

Recommended Posts

Yep, we had the plan to just go on as a mini-corps and take the penalties for being oversized but then were told that we would not be let on the field. So therefore we took a vote and decided to compete in Class A. We had to add time and drill to the show. (including my sop solo at the very beginning of the show along with Amber & Duane & Ann). Senior corps at it's best! (what...you can't do that!) B)

For some reason ... I wish our drill from last year and this year was more like '05

Interesting that the top score in Class A is RCR, who have gone inactive.

Interesting not for that reason, but for the reason that they were not large enough to officially qualify as a DCA corps - they had less than 35 members.

Cool cool .. thanks for the Kudoz ... we had a blast :) I still get a kick out of Fran announcing it being our first show .... "EVER"... followed by his chuckle/snort!

That was awesome in '05!

(Not my announcement, but Lakeshoremen making Prelims their first-ever show. A great story!!!!!)

Oh....but I thought any corps less than 35 people wasn't worth putting on the field....

If anything sticks a fork in THAT argument....THIS was it!

As far as i am aware the shows that the class A corps are at in DCI are being judged on DCI score sheets NOT DCA sheets....

Nope-the Dallas show a few weeks ago and the upcoming Houston show are DCA shows with DCA judges and sheets. I think the MN shows were DCI judges using DCA sheets, but I am not 100% sure on that.

(The Houston show has 2 DCI corps being judged by our DCA judges....hows that for a switch?)

At the DCI meeting last fall, there were assurances made that DCA sheets would be used for all All Age corps. This is new for this year and hopefully for the future as well.
