CallipygianKing
More than anything, it's just fun to see (Well, I didn't get to see, but you know what I mean) you guys on the field, especially so early. Two years ago right now, I don't even know if we had plans on being an A Corps yet. That was an awesome move by LSM in '05... Just deciding to throw caution to the wind at the last minute and field a corps for prelims. You guys were one of the "that's cool" stories I'd heard that year. I don't know all specific details, but the decision wasn't made until the number limit was announced as being STRICTLY enforced in July of 05 (must have been a crunchy frog thang :P) I had a blast hopping in on the last rehearsal and doing prelims the next week. That was a fun 7 days ^OO^ That was an awesome move by LSM in '05... Just deciding to throw caution to the wind at the last minute and field a corps for prelims. "EVER"... followed by his chuckle/snort! Edited July 9, 2007 by supersop
Sir Tix-A-Lot
...Minus the pre-show hour in the bathroom with Chops. YES ! I'll call the stadium and tell them I spotted a tornado.
Sir Tix-A-Lot
Why do you guys start so late? No real reason. It just kinda worked out that way by the timing of the DCA South shows and our travel budget. :)
kylejsoccer
Are all of these shows judged on the same sheets? Do DCI shows judge All-Age corps on DCA sheets? As far as i am aware the shows that the class A corps are at in DCI are being judged on DCI score sheets NOT DCA sheets....
morganhill
Amazing! A non eastern corps is actually near the very top of the heap? Best of luck to all, esp. west and midwest competitors!

Yep, we had the plan to just go on as a mini-corps and take the penalties for being oversized but then were told that we would not be let on the field. So therefore we took a vote and decided to compete in Class A. We had to add time and drill to the show. (including my sop solo at the very beginning of the show along with Amber & Duane & Ann). Senior corps at it's best! (what...you can't do that!) B)
gcsbaribc
This is all entertaining and "kinda" gives everyone an idea of where they stand .. but it won't really be accurate until August .... or even Prelims. Maybe over the course of the next few years, the judges will become more accustomed to the sheets and there will be more consistency in scoring. Until then, it's fun isn't it? :) amen to that! with an emphasis on "kinda". B)
