I probably will take you up on that offer sometime. A short update: Barbara opened her eyes more yesterday than at any time since she was first hospitalized.... and at one point she even said her name... a bit haltingly and somewhat quietly .... but she did say it, in response to a question from one of the nurses. That was the best spoken word I've heard in quite a while. She was having a bit of a rough day yesterday..... the doctors and nurses had to perform two procedures on her...one, to re-insert an IV line, and two, to put a feeding tube in through her stomach. She had been trying to pull out the feeding tube that was attached to her nose and down her throat. She can be a bit feisty.... but hey, those folks from Maryland's Eastern Shore tend to be a little headstrong. :) She's no exception. We still have a very long way to go....many months, perhaps. But your thoughts and prayers are a big help. I've been letting Barbara know about how many friends that have been in touch, and how many lives she has touched throughout the years.
