Jd83
1983 at Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami, FL. What a painful moment that was.
bass5
1976 for me in the Scouts. 2 shows for the price of one. I always tell people I marched 3 years in the Scouts, 1975, 1976 & 1976. Edited July 12, 2007 by bass5
f1drivr
1995. It was a great year and great show to age out with. I aged out again in 2006 in Madison with the MSARP.
kac
1992. And if you look at my siggy, I didn't march my age out by my own choice. I was done after two years. People on DCP seem to go on and on to the kids about how important it is to do your age out year and how you will regret it if you don't. That's not always the case. I knew in my heart I was done after going to camp in January. I even watched the show that summer and was completely ok with just watching it and didn't long to be part of it. Sure, I missed out on a great show with Crossmen that year, but to this day I have no regrets about not marching my age out.

LOL! 3 of us holding the record at 1976 so far, but I see Storky lurking on this thread - we're about to be trumped.....
ajedrummer
1979 Troopers after seven years with Wausau Story. They decided not to field a corps in May....mad scramble to find a corps that would add a snare drummer that late! Great year to be in the Troop.....but it was pretty frustrating until early August when things "clicked".
DPEmerald
1977 with the Holy Family Defenders. When I left 2-7 after 73 I went into the service. H.F.D. let me march 76 & 77 while I was still in the service back in MA.

elphaba01
"Ancient Age Out": Went into "Overage" status in 1968. ALL the "City" corps that I had marched with were gone by the end of this season, including the one I finished my junior corps career with. The attempted merger had failed, and the curtain came down on a great era of "Hometown" drum corps. Very sad... :( Elphaba WWW
