I think the poll kind of explains what i'm getting at here.

is it ok to wear your corps jacket to a show if you marched with a corps that is currently inactive/folded?

I've already received some rude glares and comments from people because of what happened to the corps i marched with...

is my previous hard work less important just because that corps no longer fields?

would it be an issue if i wore the jacket to a show?

thanks everyone.

Didn't vote because there wasn't an option that was just "Yes"

I agree. The first poll made no sense really. If one is proud of the corps he marched with and he/she wants to wear that jacket...why not? Inactive or folded, who really cares. What's wrong with John Doe wearing a Commodores jacket, or a jacket from Precisionaires or Charioteers? All those corps folded. I personally won't fot in my Royal Coachmen jacket but I still would wear my Rochester Crusader jacket if a jacket was needed.

dont understand this at all. Wear whatever jacket you want. If they didnt want you to wear it after you aged out, they'd give you a 'corps thong' instead of a corps jacket

Why would you NOT want to wear your corps jacket?

Especially if it is from a aulder corps that is no longer around?

That's THEIR problem...not yours.

I see VK and Freelancer jackets all the time...glad to see them.

Wear it proudly...you earned it.

Oh, wait. Read the poster's info.

You should not wear your jacket of your corps that has folded while you are in your new corps. You should wear your NEW corps' jacket. Otherwise, you are sort of rubbing people wrong. Unless you want to rub people wrong.

OH. I get it now.

At first I had the same reaction as others... why would anyone be offended by you wearing your corps jacket?

If you are currently marching with another corps, you should probably wear their jacket and not one from a previous corps you marched, folded or not.
