I disagreed with the judges as well. I thought The Colts should have placed higher than Glassmen. Carolina Crown should have scored higher than their 93-something. It should have been a tighter gap between SCV, CC, Bluecoats, and PR.

4-21: Everyone else.

To be honest, those three shows were the only ones that stuck out as truly enjoyable/memorable. Call me a hater if you will, but 07 is an off year in my book. Even those 3 shows are not nearly as good as say, BD 00, Coats 02, or SCV 03.

I don't know about the rankings...but I do know that Carolina Crown could have done their show 10 times and I wouldn't feel like I wasted 20 bucks tonight. Their show is awesome, entertaining, challenging, entertaining, excellent, entertaining, and did I mention that they were entertaining. Every show had "something" that I enjoyed, but Crown had the only total package I enjoyed.

12. Spirit - will hold on by slimmest of margins over the upstart Academy

11. Colts - can't quite make up surge from Glassmen

10. Glassmen - carry momentum to finals

9. Boston Crusaders - Increase points, go neck and neck with BK

8. Blue Knights - barely hold off BC

7. Bluecoats - hate to even say this, but SCV and Crown have a LOT of momentum

6. Santa Clara - great show, can't quite overcome Crown's crowd connection

5. Carolina Crown - crowd loves 'em, who wouldn't?

4. Cadets - the freefall began at quarters; Hopkins marches corps off field halfway through semi show in protest of booing fans

3. Phantom Regiment - As in past couple years, PR brings it at the end

2. Cavaliers - Awesome drill is not enough to overcome BD

1. Blue Devils - This show is best, they have the energy and the hometown advantage (kind of). They win with a 98.7.

That's a pretty good list. There's no way I would score Phantom ahead of Bluecoats tonight and while Crown has a great horn line, the didn't work for me. They too hard to be cute with their theme and it just comes off as cheesy. No doubt that BD has the best show tonight.
