bobchilds
<snip> And for what it's worth, I happen to think rifles and sabres are... well... kind of odd out there too. Not because I don't understand their heritage, but because ... they're throwing rifles and swords in the air. Sorry, Fred, Brasso and bmjfelts1988. Mike I agree that rifles and sabres look a little odd nowadays, mostly because of the nature of the shows. Add drum major salutes to that list as well. I'm not saying I don't like these elements per se. It's just that military and ballet/broadway/theater/art/etc. is an odd mix. Someone early in this thread (a few years ago) mentioned that the military elements (rifles, sabres, salutes, bugles, drums) are all part of the activity's military heritage. Let's also not forget that "fifes" are also a part of that heritage! :shutup:/> And I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with myself at this point. danielray
85 percent of respondents agree with you. DCP posters are not exactly a representative sampling. :-)
HockeyDad
DCP posters are not exactly a representative sampling. :-) Have you been studying at the knee of MikeD? Anyway, yes, that's how you reply when the results don't go your way. I would like to note, however, that you have no way of proving your claim. So let me simply say, yes they are a representative sample. Edited March 18, 2013 by HockeyDad
