sburstall
From the current DCA rulebook:"Pyrotechnics, the art of making or using fireworks, will not be allowed, nor will the discharge of arms be permitted." Let me rephrase that, pyrotechs as in the use of lights and similar items. Last thing I need to see is a show about the atom and see a nuclear explosion for the finale. KiltieBD3
One more reason NOT to hold DCA in the NE. Although I'll admit we have our places here where you can't even smoke in bars anymore. Or even drink (on Sunday, or before 6pm on election days). It's just not as widespread. Not having it in the north east won't help with that either. At least for smoking. There are lot of stadiums in the midwest to removed smoking from the building. I was just in St Louis for BOA with the line I teach and we were told no smoking in is allowed in the building. I know bars by me (north west burbs of Chicago) you can't smoke in the resturants or bars. Just saying.
LegalEagle50
it's ok Anders ~ that line of thought, while valid and truthful, doesn't work with the anti-northeast sentiment that pours from each and every message. it was a nice try though. :)

MikeD
From the current DCA rulebook:"Pyrotechnics, the art of making or using fireworks, will not be allowed, nor will the discharge of arms be permitted." In other words, make sure none of your arms fall off.

TomPeashey
Drum Corps in Seattle? Meant no slight to Brass Attack and the fine work done by Steve Baretech and the gang... I would still hope to assist them in attending DCA - mini corps competition... strictly from a volunteer management standpoint... Drum Corps has a long history in the Puget Sound, I wish nothing but the best to any all aged efforts like Brass Attack, Jim Nevermann's 2W drum line and for that matter, I remain one of Seattle Cascades biggest fans on the DCI side...
