imperial guard 80_82
Anybody know what happened to the Evansville IN show? Hate to see a show disappear after 30 years.
AlexL
i was puzzled by it as well. i've never been to valleyfest so i haven't been to the west des moines stadium. might be fun for a change its quite the stadium, i got to march there my senior year of high school, right after it was built. Seating capacity for 8k. If this did end up being the new venue, itd also have lots of benefits in terms of much more space for warmups and such. then again, Ames is in the des moines area right? I vote here:

kevingamin
You said pierogie 6 times in one thread. That's got to be a record. You'd think he was Polish or something.
kevingamin
I would like to point out that there are TWO shows (Toledo/Canton) within TWO hours of my home on the SAME DAY (August 4th)... ...MY 35th BIRTHDAY!!! Now, if I only had Hiro Nakamura's power, I could actually go to both.
sburstall
Toledo and Port Huron only 2 days apart and having pretty much the same corps.....interesting to say the least. All depends on Cadet's show (Bluecoats alone is worth going to see).
TickleMeElmo
Awesome, Naperville is within driving distance!
BOBSMYTH
This is great! I remember the good old days when we didn't find out the schedule until about the April issue of Drum Corps World.
Michael Boo
Whiting Pierogie FestBarely across the Indiana border from Chicago. (Only on DCP could a thread about the 2008 DCI Schedule turn into "Ode to the Pierogie.") Hey, that's only 20 miles from where I live! Pierogie, pierogie, pierogie. Edit: (Oh, darn. It's while I'll be in Atlanta for the DCI Southeastern Championship. As much as I love pierogie, I love drum corps more. Drum corps, drum corps, drum corps.)
