Well if we're going with the military uniform. I gotta go with my own Army Dress Blues. Not only do I look good in them ;-) but they are pretty comfortable as far as dress uniforms go.

I hear that the Stealthmen's uniforms have not changed much over the years.

You just alluded to the answer to this whole question.... If something works well - and continues to work well even today - then why change it?

Way back when.... Hawthorne's uniform was distinctive; it had outstanding crowd appeal; and it was a departure from the then all-too-common cadet style of uniform. It's still distinctive today; it still has tremendous crowd appeal; and it's still a departure from the cookie-cutter styles so common today.

Perhaps even more important, however, is that when Hawthorne comes onto the field, nobody in the audience has to ask, "Who's that?" - as opposed to those corps who seem to change uniforms every couple of years. If one doesn't go to a contest for a year or two, then one has to refer to the program book to see "Who's that?"

The point of our new uniform was not to change our look or who we are but to bring it to the 21st century.
