Blue Devils, Cadets, Cavaliers, Santa Clara Vanguard

Cavaliers for me....I loved all of their shows since 2000!! Cadets in second because of their 1998 and 2000 show(OMG GREATEST EVER). Blue Devils next because of their 99 and 07 show. I don't really care for 05 or 07 SCV but any other year I love them. Crown should have been included cause they are my absolute favorite corps because the first show I ever watched was In.Trance.It..what a show it was.

Since there is no year number "0" when it all started, we use 1, and after ten years it = 1 decade

71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80 = 1 decade

81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90 = another decade

91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00 = another decade

01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 = most of another decade

Looks like most of 4 decades no matter how you cut it.

I guess it just depends on the person. As for the current decade, I won't actually count it as a decade until it's over. Different interpretations, I guess.

Well, I have to say that I really enjoy all of these corps a lot and have high respect for each of them. But the corps that from year to year I find myself looking forward to most is SCV. It's not just shows that they do, but something about the attitude and style they have. It's special. Nobody is able to duplicate that.

Good poll, good question! (Of course, some favorites are left off, but the OP DID mention that these four corps have won most of the DCI titles... do)

For me, I guess that I have to look at it like this (Caveat: I have not heard enough of the 2007 shows to have a good opinion):

1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1981 (yes, really), 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985 (actually one of my favorites), 1986 (duh), 1988 (again, duh), 1989, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 (23 shows)

Cadets shows that I really enjoy:

1981, 1983, 1984, 1985 (one of my favorites... 85 was a REALLY good year for DC), 1986 (yes, even though it was, odd), 1987 (duh), 1989 (another favorite), 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001 (Moondance... NICE!), 2002, 2003, 2005 (17 shows)

SCV shows that I really enjoy:

1980, 1981, 1982 (MUCH love), 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987 (big DUH), 1988, 1989, 1991, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 (LOVE), 2004, 2005 (18 shows)

Cavies shows that I really enjoy:

1985, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 (11 shows)

So I guess, overall, it's BD, SCV, Cadets, Cavies... but they are all good!

same here, i think cadets and vanguard really got me this year but bd didn't appeal to me,
