shaners
2: Would you really want to go to finals in a stadium that looks like it could blast off for outer space at any time? im sure the crossmen wouldnt mind!
KiltieKemo06
Sounds like a bunch of crap. If someone really has some news about DCI Finals that can be verified then post it. Don't spread rumours.
corps fan
Sometimes people & organzations must bottom out before positive changes are made to improve the organization. I can only hope that when this disaster is over, there are changes in the leadership & management at DCI that will get our activity back on track. will that work for dumb rules too? wishbonecav
Sometimes people & organzations must bottom out before positive changes are made to improve the organization. Bottom #1...Miami 83 (ugh) Bottom #2...Jackson, MS (tied with Birmingham) Bottom #3...Montreal 89, whoops Kansas City 89 Bottom #4...Maryland (and real expensive, too) Bottom #5...Ithaca Bottom #6...Orlando, version 3 (more by necessity than decision) Maybe it's time for another one of those bottoms so we can get back to a "top"? Top #1...Buffalo 95 (tied with Buffalo the 2nd time) Top #2...Boston 94 Top #3...Madison Top #4...Whitewater Top #5...Pasadena (though we might never see it again) But I digress... Main point is: in 2008, we got lemons and then some more lemons. That's either a sour face or a tall glass of lemonade. Shuttles can run at different times throughout the day. People are flexible by nature and can make the best of situations on the fly, including travel snafus. Stamping ones feet and plastering their ticket prices ("I paid $598 for tickets..waaaaah") is bad form (mainly because we knew it before you said it). Louisville is beautiful and, if need be, hopefully welcoming and accomodating. There's 5 weeks to get it figured out.

PeeWee
On one hand, this would make sense since DCI already has a relationship with Louisville, but on the other it would really be a financial boondoggle. I only have one question: Www..what's a boondoggle?

It's all a bunch of HOOEY. Called DCI today to confirm my seats in Bloomington, and the nice woman on the phone told me that Bloomington is the place to be. Gentleman Marcher
It's all a bunch of HOOEY. Called DCI today to confirm my seats in Bloomington, and the nice woman on the phone told me that Bloomington is the place to be. Is anyone else here actually CALLING DCI and asking about these rumors? It seems like that's the only sensible thing to do. I've read of people in other threads who have emailed Dan Acheson personally and he's given them answers they've reported as being satisfied with. If you're freaking out and booking hotel rooms in five cities, without ever actually going to the source... Sometimes people give me a headache...
