DCI at the Movies

Recommended Posts

I've experienced theaters full of people sitting on their hands in the past as well. It's just not the same. I don't get it. And I feel awful silly when I'm the only one jumping and screaming.

This year I'm going to a theater that hasn't been offered in the past. Don't know what everyone else will be doing, but at least I'll have one other person to yell "I AM SPARTACUS" with me.

Heh....I'm pretty sure BOTH theaters full of people at Irvine scared the HELL out of the staff in 04 when the "VANGUARD" tell came up!!

My lovely bride and I were the only ones to yell, "VANGUARD!" in 2005, and only because we had seen the show in Stockton and San Jose and knew where to do it!

I can’t decide which one of the three theatres in Indy I’m going to, thinking maybe the Galaxy 14 because the name is so cool...maybe I’ll just go to Bloomington

Cinemark 17 in Springfield, Oregon. I'm trying to get more people to come with me. I don't want to go and sit in a theater for 315 minutes all by myself. :(

I'm probably just a little slow, but I just discovered that the ticket prices for this event vary depending on the city & theater. I'm paying $18 + a service fee and others seem to be paying only $12. There may be others that are higher or lower..... it would take a lot of work to check them all since the prices aren't easy to get to. I'm sure it's probably dictated by Fathom Events and/or the theaters and not DCI, but still......

I will either be at the Tysons Corner theater in McLean, VA or the Mazza Gallerie in Washington, D.C. I just noticed that the site says they are only showing the top 15 corps. That stinks...two less corps for more money.

Anyone else going to the N. Western Ave. theater in Chicago?

Looks like I will be going to that theater without knowing anyone else there (that I know of).

Since we're getting up bright and early the next morning to drive to Bloomington, I don't want to make the trek out to the suburbs to meet up with family and friends that night and they don't want to drive in to the city.

Hey, me too! Not having a car, I was thrilled to see it'll be in my very own zip code, I'll probably bike. (Or take two buses if I'm lazy.)

(I just PM'd you, PRAng...)
