Favorite Non-Performance Moments

Recommended Posts

There are so many, but one I always remember is 1990 Cadets, during the bit from Fancy Free Ballet when first a guy in the guard tosses his rifle straight up in the air, followed immediately by a soprano player, who tosses his horn straight up in the air, just about as high as possible, then catches it. Cooool.

That was in 91 as well, but I caught it first watching the 90 show. I couldn't believe it just happened either.

bd 94, at the bass run into the percussion feature:

I'M STILL WET

Speaking of BD 94, at the end of the brass runs, it sounds like the entire crowd yells "Whoa!" right before the hornline comes back in.

i know what you're talking about, easily one of my favorite five moments in drum corps.

i've heard it was one of multiple "grunts" that were put into bd shows in the late 80's and early 90's.

How about hearing the baby cry during Garfield 85, talk about a moment!

Well, said baby probably knew it was about to be thrown, so it is understandable.
