amjn
Seriously, I used to envy their guard especially in 05 & 06 but this year it's just not there. Scores shout out how much it's not there. Any opinions/insights? Did they have a lot of age-outs last season? I know in 2006 they had quite of few but it's just gone down hill. Zeke
Didn't the Caption head and or staff from last year end up at Crossmen? That was definitely a win win situation for X-men and it showed this year.
amjn
I'm not sure I haven't had time to keep up with staff changes really at all this season. I just know Cadets CG caption and Cavies losing Fiedler. lol But I can tell if X-men got BC's caption head. It shows. Same with Cadets, just not the same. btracht
Debbit Torchia judged last evening. Every time she has judged the Bluecoats guard this season, their score drops and then rises at the next show when someone else is judging For Example Murfreesboro 17.5 Atlanta 16.5 (DT Judging) Centerville (17.6) Columbus 17.8 Allentown 17.3 (DT Judging) Buffalo 17.9 Quarter Finals 18.5 Semi Finals 17.6 (DT Judging) Finals ????? Yah, I am a homer but such consistent inconsistency doesn't seem right especially a difference of of .9 finals week and a drop from 7th in guard to 12th in guard. from quarters to semis. If I were a betting man I would bet their guard score goes right back up tonight. . Go Blooooo and Go Bloooo Guard!
ssorrell
Debbit Torchia judged last evening. I've never been one to bag on a certain judge, but it does seem as though Debbie has a problem with Bluecoats' guard. 12th place in guard in at least two major competitions that she's judged is a little severe. corps_forever07
I didn't look at the recaps close enough to realize it could be called a "judge problem". Thank God. Now let's pull an 05 and rise up! (No NE Ohio sports pun there.)

Yep, DT has had a problem with 'Coats, and no one knows why. Consistently has dumped them, even in strong guard years for Bluecoats. (Not that this year isn't strong, but they have had stronger guards).
PrfctTimeOfDay
Yup it was Debbie Torch'ya' plain and simple. . .not sure what her beef is, but If I were part of the Bluecoats organization, I would want someone within DCI to look into it/lodge a formal complaint. . ..her numbers for them have been bizarre ALL season. FYI, she is no longer a WGI judge....she was quietly asked to leave, along with a handful of others Edited August 9, 2008 by PrfctTimeOfDay

FYI, she is no longer a WGI judge....she was quietly asked to leave, along with a handful of others Regardless of the strength of BC guard, why would any judge of any caption, who was quietly asked to leave WGI, be asked to judge anything in any DCI class. Obviously there is a bigger problem there than her problem with BC. Don't know anything about judging, but doesn't sound like good business sense.
