ravedodger
I have to admit it also. I started in marching band. I saw drum corps PBS my freshman year of high school and almost quit band my sophomore year knowing that marching band would never be the same as those corps on tv. Good thing I stuck with it since I finally got around to joining a corps my freshman year of college.

crazymello
Band, but it was only one season in a single A band that didn't get me anywhere.... I even sucked by their standards. Also, I played a woodwind. So, I consider my real awakening to be corps...

GGarrett
I started in prep band when I was in third grade, where I actually had to walk from my elementary school... carrying my awesome Ludwig chrome snare drum in it's cool red fur-like felt case... to the Jr. high school up the street. Started marching parades and football games when I actually got to Jr. high ... then did drum corps and band in high school and until age out.
