kickhaltsforlife
1-2008- OMG 2-2006- I LOVED this show. Ave Maria gets me every time, very close to 08 3-2003- Amazing show, a DCI classic. 4-2005- Enjoyable show, good design 5-2007- Not the best design in my opinon, still a really great show, didn't like the ballad so much. 6-2001- INTENSE show. The horn book was nuts. 7-2002- Hornline was lacking a bit, i still enjoyed the show, one of the more boring ones of the decade. 8-2000- Under rated show. Still has its issues, loved the ending, took a LONG time to get there 9-2004- I liked the music, i just didn't really like the show at all. contrajedi8
For me: 2005- just an enjoyable show 2003- balls out, dispite drill problems and tone quality issues 2006- any other year and this show wins 2008- I know most people go "zomfg! this show is the balls!" good for me. not my fav. 2007- I view this show as an off-year for them 2002- one of my favorite singular moments ever in a drum corps show. unis make me throw up in my mouth. 2001- meh... 2000- again, meh... 2004- zomg, this show sucks. such a let down after 2003. nice drumline though. LAMystreaux
2008-the whole package finally 2005-fun show 2006-great musically 2002-enjoyed the selections 2007-good, not great 2000-eh 2004-a different direction that did not work for me 2001-eh again 2003-this show irritates me. . .overhyped, poorly designed visually, poorly performed especially from a visual/guard standpoint

bawker
2008: Yeah, it's that good. Deserves the #1 spot. 2004: Way under-rated, IMO. A nice change of pace outside of the classical "comfort zone". 2005: Fun show to listen to; it may be safe musical territory, but it's pretty #### good. 2006: Nice precursor to 2008's storytelling. . .but a little disjointed in places. 2003: Would be higher if every ####### HIGH SCHOOL EVAR DIDN'T COPY IT. 2007: Opener and ballad are great. Firebird goes into WSS/Malaguena territory for me, though. 2002: I like the ending. 2001: I like the opening. 2000 : Meh. It's been so long since I've listened to this one, I can hardly remember it. Therefore, it places "last" here.
festive
2002: I like the ending.2001: I like the opening. 2000 : Meh. It's been so long since I've listened to this one, I can hardly remember it. Therefore, it places "last" here. This is very interesting...I like the ending of 2001 (Festive Overture) and the beginning of 2002 (the 10th...right? someone?). The 2002 show had the heavy drill demands for (relatively) little effect. Last year on G? 2000 has my favorite all-time ballad transfigured night so it's impossible for me to overlook it. And "Rite of Spring" is great, too. IMO. But the drill is, em, yeah. it changed a lot over the summer didn't it?
MikeN
I got to see 2000's show at the Alamodome - man, if ever a piece (Rite of Spring) was built for a dome.... The reverb off those drum kits they marched was incredible. It's a shame it kind of ... well... didn't.... at Finals. Mike
DCImonkey
1. 2005 Rhapsody (Overall one of my favorite shows) 2. 2003 Harmonic Journey (Corpsgasm at Finals at the turnaround) 3. 2008 Spartacus (hated this show early....loved it late!) 4. 2004 Apasionada (Oblivion was gorgeous!!!) 5. 2006 Faust (Loved the ballad..don't care for Scythian Suite) 6. 2001 Virtuoso (Festive!) 7. 2007 On Air (only part of this show that I liked was the Flower Duet...but even that was too fast...and I hate The Firebird with a passion) 8. 2000 Masters of Mystique 9. 2002 Heroic Sketches (huge disappointment) Edited for my dumbness Edited October 10, 2008 by DCImonkey
