CoHmempho04
Not even real drum corps nuts like "bus fumes". I love the smell and I've marched 4 years. What's more important, what ensemble is that in the background? Is that a drum corps? it sounds like a darn marching band! sounds HORRRID! Is it just me or does this just look like a badly made "adult film" with cheesy lines and ALL!
Elmo Blatch
I don't know what parts I liked better, so I will choose a few for dissemination: 1. The morning sickness scene at 1:47 2. The "let's make my activity better than your activity by belittling yours" at :54 3. The realization that this is a 16 year-old trying to be 21 at 1:15 4. No air mattress at 1:30 For the love of all that is good, everybody knows that there is no such thing as drum corps today without air mattresses! 5. Although they appear to have nothing to do with the lead actress, the Degrassi-like peripheral stuff at 1:18, 1:26, 1:35, and 1:40. 6. The Crying Game-esque scene at 1:48 7. The "I don't know what you would call it at 1:40" but I am sure somebody will come up with some reference. 8. The insipid "dahhhhhhh dah dah dada" that is played at least 8 times. Wow, I understand this might be a first effort, but wow.
GoFanGo
Just like the movie "Drum Line" this will be another film we can all hate. When is DCI, Tom Blair, Rawtv, Box5 going to do one of these and make it better? Edited November 6, 2008 by GoFanGo
Kasspa
I love the idea of drum corps and colorguard movies....But this? Really? Hopefully it's just a bad trailer and the movie will be better... Dont they normaly use the best parts of a movie in the trailer?
sday88
Not even real drum corps nuts like "bus fumes". Call me crazy but, I LOVE bus fumes. Pardon my rudeness, but according to your signature you haven't marched drum corps yet. Therefore, you have never smelt, slept, sang, or done unspeakable acts in true bus fumes which makes what you said a lie.Bus fumes suck, there's no joking about that. I love the smell and I've marched 4 years. I also marched, and I LOVE the smell of bus fumes.
EvilBass
8. The insipid "dahhhhhhh dah dah dada" that is played at least 8 times. It says "original music by Key Poulan" Do anyone really think key poulan wrote that line? and if he did, would he admit it? I hope they were talking about the Vanguard show that you couldnt hear. bawker
Good Lord . . .that is a travesty on film. Someone needs to submit this to Joel McHale and the "Soup" on E!, 'cause that's the level of fail that this has achieved. Even "Drumline" had some moments that featured an actual band doing things. . . this just intersperses some cornball narrative against SCV with one of the most Hal Leonard "Beginners Series" tunes I've ever heard instead of Vanguard playing. DCI thought this was good press for the activity? For who? The small sub-niche of fans who like acting that doesn't even approach "Vince, the Sham-Wow" guy levels, coupled with story narrative that's rivals Lifetime's "The Fantasia Barrino Story" in it's presentation? This, my friends, is the movie equivalent to the Demoulin Brothers ad. Good. Freaking. Lord.
Ben
Is this DCI's version of "The Hills"?

MikeD
Sound for the interior scenes also needs a lot of work, but I think this will be worth watching. Everyone should give a shot at seeing the whole thing before we start flinging poo at the film. "Flinging poo a the film...."...now THERE is a visual....a gaggle of DCP "monkeys" sitting in theater chatering away and tossing...well...poo...at the screen!
