They won't (haven't) trimmed the CDs, have they? I just ordered one and didn't think about it until just now.

Nope, that's covered under a different license, which was NOT affected by what happened with the DVDs.

But that was arguably the greatest drum corps show in the history of the activity. Defacing it in anyway, no matter how tastefully considered, is like taking a can of spray paint to the Mona Lisa.

I'd rather not see the show at all, than see it in any form than was less than what it was that night.

That's a bit melodramatic, don't ya think? I mean, it WAS a good show and all... but graffiti on the Mona Lisa? Really?

In his defense, would you rather watch phantom 08, or look at the mona lisa...

a bit of a no brainer if you ask me

No, Cadets changed the end of the show to be a balls-out, in your face, company front kind of deal.

Hey, no kidding? I had not heard that.

I loved the ending on the FN from Allentown, it really got me every time, but I didn't see it live. That can make a big difference in the way the show comes across to the audience.

What is your opinion of the change? Did you like it?

Are you sure those two phrases are best used back-to-back? :worthy:

I just got my dvd's today (they were ordered several weeks ago for Christmas). I watched Phantom as soon as I opened the dvd's. Thankfully, I had the unedited version. Not even halfway through the show, I had a few tears in my eyes. No other show has ever done that to me, it is hands down my new favorite show in drum corps history.

It definitely gave the crowd something to respond to in a bigger way than the down ending. Did it change my opinion of the show? No.
