SLEVIDEULBA
I've been doing some research...and I was wondering If anyone knew the reason why Star of Indiana left DCI. Its not like they folded, they were and still are a very successful organization. (in reference to playing with the Canadian Brass and with BLAST). If anyone could help that would be great. Matt_S
Hear it straight from the horses mouth: http://www.starofindiana.org/ On the top toolbar, click "history". From that page, the first link will give you a history book account of the corps, while the second link will give you Bill Cook's personal memoirs, spanning from 1984 through to 2000. bdon15
Excuse me while I try to find a dead horse.... People should be allowed to ask questions on here without getting "dead horse" remarks in return. Not everyone knows everything about every corps. That dead horse? I think you're standing on it. contrajedi8
Excuse me while I try to find a dead horse.... How can a topic such as this even be allowed??? I shudder at the pain you must be in to endure suck triviality.Doesn't everyone know that everyone knows everything about every corps?? That dead horse? I think you're standing on it. Well, this thread is really going somewhere.

They didn't leave. They were kidnapped. Don Pesceone's ransom checked bounced and the members were sold into the slave trade. I've heard of sightings of prisoners in internment camps seen wearing scraps of magenta (or is it fuchsia) and white aussies. I also hear Rambo is going to attempt a rescue. Expect them back in 2010 bigger than ever. On average, probably fifty pounds bigger (each).
DCImonkey
DCI "retired" them because they were so awesome, and so good, that they took all of the competitiveness out of drumcorps. Star only "ALLOWED" Cavies and Cadets to win in 92 and 93 to give DCI the appearance of being competitive. They really were on track to score 125 points each year. corps8294
Wait a minute, gang! Just everyone hold on! You all mean that the Blue Stars aren't Star of Indiana's phoenix (with a touch of the current Boston Crusaders)? Geeeeez, just when I thought I had this entire Star of Indiana mystery solved! Well, time to go see a man about a horse...
