As I said once before in a similar thread, just like in baseball they're all champions this time of the year. Most of the reports in the off-season are just speculation and rumor, often based corps' press releases, which always have a positive spin. That's just one of the fun aspects of the activity.

Now it's only one month to the first show, and we'll soon have real results to talk about. Good luck to all!

Well said, John....none of us will know for sure until the "live fire" stuff begins next month!

Gee, guys. I like these early season predictions. Relax! It's for entertainment purposes only. Here's mine.

1. Maumee Demons

2. Ballantine Brewers

3. Lincoln Invaders

4. Modern Woodman

5. Hershey Chocolateirs

6. Milton Keystoners

7. Assumption of Chicope

8. Westmoreland Esquires

9. Connecticut Yankees

10. Guardner Guards

How's that?

In reality . . .

It would seem the Buccaneers are still the team to beat, so put them in first until someone else proves otherwise.

1. Minnesota Brass, Inc.

2. Buccaneers

3. Statesmen

4. Hurricanes

5. Caballeros

6. Bushwackers

7. Brigs

8. Renegades

9. Corpsvets

10. Music City Legend

OK, I just had to pick the first non-eastern corps to win!

In any case, I think the top 6 will be dang close!

Looking at last years' scores, I'd say that the top 6 being within 4+ points of each other means that the game is wide open, which is going to be a lot of fun for the fans!

Here's a visual of the relative Top Ten 2008 DCA finals scores:

2008dcafinalscores.jpg

there seems to be a pattern between 1-2,3-4,5-6,7-8 in how close/far apart they are (for the most part)...interesting

Any prediction that leaves out the Belvederes has no credibility in my book.
