Fish, The important thing is that when it was your time, you did it full out. No one embraced the activity or the love of a drum corps, and by that I mean the traditions, the esprit de corps, the mutual affection of your teammates, any more or any harder than you. It's not an accident that you're in the Hurcs' Hall of Fame and it's your spirit and that of others like you that has contributed mightily to the Hurcs' Renaissance in the past couple of seasons. Don't be too envious - in many ways you put them where they will be in Rochester, but by living the way you did when it was your time, and supporting them now. On retreat, win or lose, you'll be with them and they'll walk proud. If a corps had 150 John Fishers they'd never be beaten, but they might need one Dougie Oravez, John Glynn or some of the other guys for the occasional high G. 150 contras is a scary thought. What do I know, it might have been "Auston, TX" back in '46. (Which was before I was born ) I only copied and pasted the info from Ron's site, didn't do a spell check on it....
